Revelations (Re-made)

Gabriel's wings unfurled and he grabbed up Cory and dropped him a ways in the pool.

 

"Thanks" She smiled at Gabriel, as Cory feebly splashed around in the now deepened water.

"Mr Gabriel, what do you teach here?"

 

He landed at the edge and balanced on the balls of his feet, "It's like a self defense course. You fight with weapons." He smiled before anyone could speak, "Not real weapons until I asses how trustworty you are, but it's an excersise in itself."

Gabe frowned, "You speak criptically."

 

"You mean....your another Yuri?....all he ever does is spin that sword of his around and around and then when he's bored, he practices on me.." She sighed and rubbed a barely visible scar on her arm.

"Wait. Your brother uses you as a practice dummy?!"

 

Gabriel frowned, "No, not another Yuri. In my class you will spar with those weapons and eventually incorperate magic into your swings." He shot a glare at his son, "Not everything is about physical contact. Over half of the most effective attacks are done magically."

Gabe rolled his eyes. His fingers twitched from the lack of being able to spin his sword.

 

Maddie smiled at Gabriel, and then sighed at Rita, "Uh yeah, kinda...but he heals it afterwards...sorta.."

"Oooh, wait till I get my hands on that kid!"

"Mr Gabriela ," Cory spluttered as he got out of the pool. "When was my exam due in?"

 

Gabriel laughed at Rita, "Have patience with him Rita, dear, he's young, he'll learn." He looked at Cory, soaked wet, "I'll ask you to rephrase that question so it's not insulting and I can answer it." He felt the urge to quote his father, the Archangel Gabriel, but suppressed it. The last thing he needed was a bunch of children knowing how old he was.

 

"Oh, My bad, Gabriela! When was our performing day? I'm afraid I haven't practised my song! You may need to sing with Sharpee instead!"

 

Gabriel lifted one boot and pushed on Cory, shoving him back into the water, "You wanna run that by me again? Just once more, for old times sake." He narrowed his eyes, song...a song was once required to summon his brother, though why that'd come to mind, escaped him. He felt along his tie to his brother and felt him still in purgatory, bound by the chains of his own doing.

 

"When was my bloody exam paper due in you old coot!"

 

Gabriel laughed, "That's more like it!" He really shouldn't have enjoyed that so much but he did. "Tomorrow, child. Exams will be handed in tomorrow, now take a chill pill." He folded his wings back and settled against a wall, feeling at ease.


Deep tremors went through the under-realm at Gabriel's laugh and a small smile curved the lips of the dark man chained to the sky. More silver words hovered around him, giving off a more violent aura, "Gabriel Coran...you who hath chained thee to nothingness. Why must thee torment thy so...Such abandonment...so free....oh how I long to see the sky again..."

 

"Grr, don't 'Take a chill pill' me!"

 

Gabriel sighed, "You should. You're getting worked up over nothing. What? Can't swim, Cory?" He realized he shouldn't patronize students but being around Sorcha too much had fixed patronizing as a part of him.

 

"Don't Patronize me!" He charged a dark energy beam behind his back.

 

April saw with shock what Cory was doing, without really thinking, she immediatly concentrated all her energy on Cory, manipulating his mood to try and calm him down.

 

Cory suddenly felt a change of mood again, he glanced at the others, the only one who seemed to be really concentrating was April, so it's possible that she was emanating that aura. He tried to lift his arm and blast her, but she was causing him to be too calm. "Wretched-girl!" He breathed.

 

April kept up her concentrion on Cory, she was scared now if she let it slip for just one second, he would get her.

 

Maddie frowned as she noticed Cory and April staring at each other, April, sweating bullets, seemed to be really concentrating. "Hey! are you guys having a staring competition?"

 

April bit her lip as she manipulated Cory's mood, trying to make him as calm as possible, she didn't know what to do. She daren't stop but she would have to eventually and she was really fearing that moment.

 

Cory could feel all his muscles relaxing, he tried desperately to stop them, but to no avail, "Just Give Up" his concious told him, "It may make you look like a pathetic loser who keeps getting beat by woman, but hey, it's not like you aren't used to that already!" He growled in his mind, slowly letting his muscles relax
