Return of Kira: Part Two-Betrayal

Mellody waved for her to follow her, walking outside of the SPK HQ...

 

Lana quickly followed after her, slightly concernd as to what Mellody was planning.

Blondie simply shrugged it off, she had more then enough covering her identity and safty not to worry.

 

Mellody waited outside the doorway, leaning on the door queitly.

 

"So? What is it?" Lana asked, sliding her hands into her jacket pockets and jumping on the spot slightly as the cold breeze wraped around her bare legs "It's kinda cold out here and if you ain't noticed I'm wearing a kinda short dress so can we hurry this up...?"

 

"To be honest i'm not even mad..." Mellody reassured an evil smile on her face. "Hell i told you to do that reemmber? i just need your help setting the bombs..."

 

"You're evil to me, you know that?" Lana laughed. "Well, if we're gonna go do that I'm going home to get changed first. Setting up bombs in a short white dress is a bad idea."

 

"Agreed." Mellody sighed. "Get in the car, i'll drive..."

 

"No, I'm good... I'll take my bike." She said quickly, horrified images of Mellody's driving still echoing in her mind.

 

"good idea..." Mellody nodded. "It'll be more discret that way... mind if i follow?"

 

"No, as long as you don't run me over." Lana agreed walking off down the street a little way.

 

"I'll try..." Mellody smiled walking to her car.

 

"You kill me and I'll haunt you!" Lana yelled as she pulled on the helmet and climbed on her motorbike. Wondering for a moment why that sounded so familar... Then as she drove off she remebered that's what Near had told her the day he'd made her drive the van, very unsuccesfully.

 

Mellody sighed, following behind Lana quite steadily.

 

After around ten mintues of driving around Lana pulled to a stop infront of an appartment buliding. Not a perticulary bad looking one, nor a perticluarly expensive looking one. Just a boring old, run of the mill appartment buliding. Climbing off of her bike and jumping to the ground. Pulling the helmet off as she stood up again.

 

Mellody skidded to a stop surprisingly softly, and immediantly jumped out of her car running over to Lana.

 

"Right, third floor, appartment 13. I swear that number haunts me." She laughed, quickly ducking into the building and running up the stairs.

 

Mellody sighed walking after her. discreet huh?

 

Lana, in classic clumsy style, ran straight into the door of her appartment. Swearing loudly as normal as she picked herself up. Unlocking the door to her flat and opening the door into the main living space. The walls inside were all white except for the deep red wall which had a large shelving network on it. Filled with various books and DVDs. On the kitchen table there was a laptop, but in the shelving in kitchen there appeared to be no food, or even untensils for eating food. Walking around the back of the large leather sofa that was in the centre of the room and disappearing into her bedroom. Leaving Mellody to look around, there wasn't really anything there she cared about. And she seriously doubted Mellody would dare poke around on her laptop, or at least she hoped she wouldn't. She had all the important things on there, childhood photos and a file with a diary dating back to her 13th birthday. The year she was given the machine.

 

"Nice stuff..." Mellody commented walking around inside once she caught up. "Mind if i go through your laptop?"

 

"Just stay out of my private file alright? It's got some stuff I'd rather you didn't see..." Lana's voice came through the door. Amongst the records she'd kept from the children's home there was a collection of pictures taken of her various self-harm attacks on her self, and even of her wrists after she'd tried slashing them. Having to explain that wouldn't be easy, seeing as how stupid most people felt her reasons were.
