Return of Kira: Part Two-Betrayal

"I don't feel so good..." Lana mumbled, appearing to of been sobered up by the feeling of illness that had suddenly swept over her.

 

"Maybe you should get some rest?"

 

"Yeah... When my stomach stops feeling like it's trying to do a three-sixty..."

 

"You did it to yourself."

 

"It was Mellody's idea..." Lana mumbled moving onto her side. Curling up slightly.

 

"Well you did went along with it..." He looked at her, concered.

 

"Yeah... I guess..." She mumbled, curling up tighter.

 

He reached over and brushed her hair out of her face. "You really should get some rest."

 

Lana smiled weakly at his touch. "You're prob'ley right..." Lana mumbled in a voice that was barely audible.

"Not here though. Go to your room."

 

"You sound like my old care-worker when he found me wasted." Lana giggled weakly. Pushing herself up off the furniture. Rubbing her face slightly in an attempt to wake herself up enough to get to her room which was three floors up.

 

"Is that a good or bad thing?"

 

"It's kinda cute in all honesty." Lana smiled weakly as she shakily got onto her feet.

 

He returned the smile and stood up. "Need any help?"

 

"Please? I think I'm gonna fall down..." Lana mumbled as she moved to take a step and ended up almost falling back into her seat again.

 

He went over to her and helped her stay up

 

"Thanks sir..." Lana said quietly, putting her arm over his shoulder to help her stay up. A little embarased she had to do that, but it was either that or falling flat on her face.

 

"It's no problem. If you ever need help you can just ask me."

 

"Thanks again..." She smiled.

 

"Don't mention it. Now what was your room number again?"
