Return of Kira: Part Two-Betrayal

"I could just let you figure it out and let you drive in circles if you want."

 

Benedict sighed and said, "Fine point the way."

 

She smiled, proud of herself. "Start driving."

 

Benedict started to drive and muttered under his breath, "She's hot but is a bit spoiled..."

 

She didn't excatly heard him. "What was that?"

 

"I didn't say anything." Benedict said.

 

"I have a hard time believing you."

 

"Is that because I'm french?" Benedict asked looking at her.

 

"Nope. My dad's french. It's cuz you've got that look and i think you're annoied with me. And watched the road."

 

Benedict look back at the road and said, "What is 'that look'?"

 

"I anit tellin you just yet. I want my fun. Oh look we're here." She said when they entered a neighborhood. "Park away from the house though."

 

"You are very strange....I like you more already. And fine, I'll park away from the house." Benedict said.

 

"I hear that a lot. And really?"

 

"What do you mean by 'Really'?" Benedict asked.

 

"I mean you really like me?"

"Wow that's new. So let's get this over with already"


After seeing Lana go to sleep Near was able to also sleep

 

After a few short mintues of sleep Lana began to stir. Something in her dreams wasn't right, you could tell just by glancing breifly. Then, suddenly her eyes snapped open with a sharp intake of breath. Her pulse racing slightly as she looked around, gratefull the lights where still on, the shadows would of just made her lose it entirley. Though, now she couldn't remember the dream, just the feeling that had come with it.

 

Feeling her move, Near let go and rolled off her

 

Lana smiled at the still sleeping Near. Watching him in silence for a moment, just thinking how strange their whole situation was and, of course, not just how much she loved him, but how odd it felt to her that he even cared that she existed.

After the few moments were up she pushed herself from her seat and looked at the clock. Sighing heavily she realised it was about time she left to help capture Laya. Lana looked back over at Near, kneeling down besides the sofa of a moment. Gently she brushed his hair from his face and her smile strengthend. "See ya in a couple of hours, Nate." She laughed weakly before standing up again and leaving. She knew what might happen now, after all she was going after Kira. But it didn't bear thinking about, so she didn't think of it.
