Return of Kira: Part Two-Betrayal

Lana was sitting in the window sill her own room, leaning on the cold window. Playing with her bottle of eye liner, doodling in the black liquid on her arms. Gazing reflectively at the countless semi-healed slices and cuts messed together with the scar tissue. This time last year had she been looking at her arms she would of seen bandages, stitches and the tubes from various IV drips. It was just under a year since her last bloody suicide attempt, the prospect of another year like the previous one had been too much for her to cope with. Now however she was really greatful that it had failed. If it hadn't she wouldn't of spent so much time with Near, and she wouldn't of realised just how amazing he was and she would never of felt the happiness of the love she felt for him. For the first time ever she'd find herself getting lost in her thoughts and actually feeling better for it, so much had changed in her personal life that last year. And all of it for the better.

 

Near was in his room stacking up cards when he started to get bored and somewhat lonely so he stood up and walked to Lana's room and knocked, waiting for a reply

"Door's open." She called out, rolling her hoodie's sleeves down over her arms again. Hugging her knees close to her chest and shoving the eyeliner into her make-up bag to the side of her.

 

He opened the door and walked in, closing the door behind him. "Hey."

 

"Hiya." Lana smiled, turning around and sliding off the window sill.

 

"So what you;re up to?"

"Not much, just thinking." She said, picking up her make up bag and placeing it back in her suitcase.

 

"Oh well...How are you?" He asked while moving towards the couch and sat in front of it on the floor

 

"I'm great." Lana smiled, watching him sit down. "Just reflecting on the last year or so."

 

"I see... Well tomorrows is your birthday. Are you sure you don't to do anything special?"

 

"Yeah, I'm sure." Lana nodded. "It's never been anything special why should that change now?" She shrugged.

 

"It was just thought."

 

"As long as I get to spend the day with you I'm happy, same goes for any other day." Lana smiled, sitting down besides him.

 

"But then every day would be the same and soon that'll grow old."

 

"Suppose." Lana shrugged as she lent against him. "You wanna do something for my birthday or whatever go for it, I don't care as long as it isn't like... insane."

 

"Define insane."

 

"Like I said before, really expensive or something that involves a large amount of effort or thought." She explained, looking up at his face through her long black fringe.

 

"Well.. insanity isn't that bad."

 

"Just don't over do it..."
