Return of Kira: Part Two-Betrayal

Matt took out a cell phone from his pocket, not looking like one of the original ones that he had been using, and began to dial up what he had remembered to be Blondie's phone number. "This will have to be handled quite delicatly" he muttered

 

Fed up of running, Kyra managed to slip past security with her I.D on show, and waited behind the door where a few people were talking, and when someone mentioned Near, she raised an eyebrow, wanting to hear more.

 

Lana took a deep breath and spoke quietly, she had a feeling someone was nearby listening in. And if it was a member of the SPK well, the humilliation didn't bear thinging about. It was bound to get back to him, though she hoped to god if that were the case it wouldn't grace Near's ears. "Sounds it to me, he touches me and I go brighter red the a hooker's lipstick."

Blondie's ringtone blasted from her pocket. Begrudingly she pulled it out and glaced down at the screen displaying the Caller Infomation. Smiling slightly as she flipped it open and rested it gentley on her ear. "Hiya." She said sweetly. "Not often you call."

 

Mlloedy sighed leaning against the nearby wall. "You know before long this thing'll keep you up at nights and all you'll EVER think about is him and so on... really it's simpler to just say you like him..."

 

"WHat is your current location?" Matt asked, his tone low, serious.

 

"Please, I'm never going to be that bad. I'm not going to be one of those girls who waste their lives away over some unattainable dream." Lana scoffed, brushing the idea away with her jumper wrapped clutched fist. "I'm not that pathetic."


"Now?" Blondie said, her voice dropping too and the seriousness in his. "I'm quite a long way away from Headquaters if that's what you mean. About a quater of an hours walk. Why? What's going on? You alright?"

 

"It's not pathetic." Mellody explained looking at her. "I was like that at one point... and alot of girls are, so i can tell you it's not pathetic and it's actually quite likely.."

 

"Ya. Cops are near my house, so I'm going to be going on a little trip. Now it won't be for that long, but I'll be some what out of contact. I'll send one of my guys over to the hotel to keep ya company, alrite. Besides that, just keep up what you've been doin, k" matt said over the phone

 

"Oh, sorry..." Lana replied, feeling like she'd just behaved like a complete and utter jerk. "But that's not going to be me. I'm not going to let it get the better of me. And I don't sleep much anyway so missing a little more isn't going to kill me. You're you and I'm me. We're not the same person so we're going to handle these situations differently, and I'm not going to pine about this." She smiled, a weak and slightly forced giggle escaping her "That's just not me. I'm not going to let it get me down."

"What? Where? You're f*cking kidding me!" Blondie gasped, she had the strangest feeling in the pit of her stomach. Like someone had pulled a carpet out from underneath her.

 

Mellody shrugged. "You say that now, i say give it three months."

 

"I am afraid that I cannot say. It will only be for a few days. You sound upset. Why is this?" he asked

 

"It's not going to happen." She replied with a falsely cheery smile "I know that should I admit to anything then emotions are going to become even more involved and that's going to cloud my judgement, or even Near's should thing be reciprocated which I still think is so unlikely that there's a greater chance of me not tripping over my own shoelace, and that's going to f*ck up the case. And if I f*ck up the case I'm not doing my job, and if I'm not doing my job I promised myself I'd quit. Because this is one case I just cannot mess up." Lana explained, her voice becoming darker and more serious as she went on. Ending on a low and detirmind tone.

"Doesn't matter," She said dismissivly, recovering her composure remarkabley quickly even for her. "Just gonna be rather dull without you."

 

"Lana..." Mellody sighed deeply. "You're tkaing it too seriously, just calm down... anyway, we NEED to set the bombs, so we'll talk later, let's go!"

 

Matt grinned when he heard her reaction. "Well then, I will be hoping to see you soon." he said, as he then hung up with the phone, pleased with the conversation.

ooc: bombs?!?!?!?!?!?! I shoulda payed more attention.

 

"No I'm not, I'm just concidering the bigger picture and not thinking aout just me..." She muttered under her breath. "Alright then." Lana sighed "Let's get going again."

"Yeah... see ya..." Blondie muttered just after he'd hung up. Snapping the phone shut and slipping it back in his pocket. "Looks like this is going to even more complictated then I first thought..."

ooc: Then I will have to veiw it later, once I am done fighting an army of the polish (polish people who broke into my house b4 r outside. long story.....)

bic: Matt grinned at the response that he had been given. "So then, it appears as if I might be able to do more damage then expected" he muttered, his intentions cruel and unknown

Blondie sighed heavily and started to head back to the headquaters. Least she could do was carry on with what she was ment to be doing while she still could.

 

OOC: Okay, what has happen so far? Could someone please give me a recap?

 

OOC- I don't think too much has happened... Lana and Near had a NarutoXHinata moment lol, Mellody and Lana will be leaving to set up the bombs as soon as D gets back. I think Kyra over heard Lana and Mellody talking... Matt is leaving for Japan again to escape the american police... I can't think of anything else.

 

OOC: Sounds like an episode of 24.
