Return of Kira: Part Two-Betrayal

"Hi... What happened?"

 

"The reality that Mello wasn't ever coming back just hit Mellody..." Lana sighed sitting down on the arm of the sofa Near was occupying. "She was distraut by the time I got there... Then she found out that we were keeping Mello's reasons for going after Takada secret, and took it out on me. Kicked me off the bed, plenty of blood from that. I bit right through my tounge."

 

He looked up to her. "Are you okay? And how is she doing?"

 

"I'm fine, the bleeding pretty much stopped now. I've had my tounge pierced before now so it didn't really have much effect on me. And I hope so, she was just taunting me about earlier so she seems to be fine. She just needed to re-distract herself and vent a little I think."

 

"That's good..."

"Are you alright?" Lana asked, sliding down onto the sofa. Being carful not to sit on his feet. "You seem a little sad."

 

"I'm never sad."

"Sure you're not... What's wrong?"

 

"Nothing is wrong."

 

"Are you sure? You seem a little depressed... And you don't normally lie down on the sofa."

 

"I laid down on the sofa before, remember? You fell asleep on me. And when have I been depressed?"

 

"I've been gone for like half an hour. You never stay in the same place even when I leave the room for a few moments. And it's just how you were talking, your voice trailed off a little... Never mind, just me worrying I expect."

 

"Good. So topic change."

 

"Alright." Lana nodded, fiddling slightly with her tounge. It still hurt quite a lot and seeing as she could feel the hole she'd developed a rather morbid fascination with it.

 

That was easy... "What do you want to talk about?"

 

"Meh." Lana shrugged, continuing to play with her tounge. Then, as she should of realised she would, she ended up stratching the thing that was stopping her cut from bleeding. "Ah... F*ck..." She muttered irrtably, jumping up and grabbing a wad of tissues from the nearest box and holding it down over her bleeding tounge.
