Return of Kira: Part Two-Betrayal

"Bu...but... if i.... if we... hadn't of..." Mellody insisted, words no longer coming to her at all...

 

"Oh come here Mell..." Lana sighed opening her arms to hug her, unable to think of much else at that moment in time.

 

Mellody quite litterally leaped at lana, arms outstrached as tears cascaded through her hair from how suddenyl she had leapt at her...

 

"Whoa!" Lana gasped, the force from Mellody throwing her backwards onto the matress. Spraying a little of the blood onto the sheets and sitting up quickly to hide the mess. "Carful Mell, I'm basicly a munchkin remember." She laughed in an attempt to cheer her up, even just a little.

 

"i'm.. sorry..." Mellody apologized, clinging to Lana tightly, tears falling onto Lana's shirt. "I'm.. so... sorry... for everything..."

 

"None of it was your fault..." Lana replied. Hugging her tightly back, thinking both of how many turn arounds in personalillty Mellody had just had and of how she was greatful that Mellody's vice like grip wasn't much higher.

 

"Still... i'm... sorry..." Mellody sighed, calming down to an at least reasonable degree. "I...i really shouldn't of kicked you..."

 

"It's fine, I do worse things to myself on a daily basis just from accidents." Lana smiled.

 

"True..." Mellody smiled as well. "But... what are you even doing here...? weren't you with Near?"

 

"Yeah, I was. But Theory said you were really upset, so I came down. Not like we were doing much anyway. I expect he's fallen asleep again now."

 

"Well... why don't you go back to him now?"

 

"You being upset is far more important then watching Near sleep for a few hours silly." Lana smiled, poking her playfully.

 

"I promise i'm okay now" Mellody reassured, grabbing her finger and smiling. "Now you can go back to him, or i can break your finger, or one then the other."

 

"I'm staying here. He doesn't so much as talk in his sleep, well occasionally. But still it's only ever boring things." Lana grinned, snatching her finger away.

 

"well, maybe you could wake him up? or better yet, WE could wake him up."

 

"Let him sleep, it's a nightmare getting him to sleep. And then it's only because I threaten to leave him alone until he's so bored that he decides to sleep for something to do."

 

"Fine... but... well, what now...?"

 

"I dunno." Lana shurgged. Standing up and grabbing a tissue. Patting her tounge with it just out of Mellody's sight. The amount of blood was a little alarming and she cautiously poked it with her finger. Discovering that she had, in fact, bitten all the way through her tounge. A small hole, no larger then a piercing, in the centre of her tounge. "Saves me paying to get it re-done I suppose..." Lana muttered under her breath before turning back to Mellody and stiffling a small giggle. "You may want to check a mirror Alice Cooper."

 

"I think i'll avoid that" Mellody smiled, scratching her head. "Of all the ways i could die, i don't want to die from seeing how horrendous i look."

 

"That's a risk I face everytime I see s reflective surfce." Lana grinned, dropping back down onto the bed.
