Return of Kira: Part Two-Betrayal

A breif period of time later Lana had come to a stop by one of the windows on one of the higher floors. Just gazing out dreamily over the smoggy city. Strange and mixed visions preforming their weird course before her tired eyes. A combination of the completely normal, like what was their next move to be, and of the sterotypical and weakminded romantic notions she was starting to find harder and harder to abandon and ignore even if that didn't show around him, and of course she was thinking of the years she'd spent in that sh*thole of a childrens home way back when. "Today's just going from bad to worse..." She mumbled quietly to herself. Pressing her forhead against the cool glass.

 

As the taxi moved towards the hotel, Yuu was planing his next move. "if I want to contact kira the best way is to give him what he wants"Yuu thought as he looked at the names and pictures of several SPK members "but how to give Kira these names is the hard part. I'll wait and see what kira dose next and work make a plan based on that"

 

OOC: Can some fill me in on whats happening? Please.

 

OOC- I'll just bump it up from five posts ago then....

Near and Lana trying to fix the issue of the data loss and finding out if they have his face on camera, which they do and Matt and Terri sorting out what to do with the police who've just appeared.

 

OOC: Oh, I see. Thank you.

BIC: Benedict walked up to Lana and said, "Hey, hows it going?"

 

OOC- No problem ^^

Lana sighed and did an odd turn or roll thing on the tall glass so she could face Benedict. "Oh the usual kinda... seriously f*cked-up-ness that I live through on a day to day basis. Yell at my boss, nearly crashed my bike, run into my apartment door, my friend whose haemophobic dicovered photos of the second time I slashed my wrists, mocked about my height, gassed, messed up the enitre system but still didn't manage to save every personel file... You get the picture..."

 

"Sounds like a night at my parents house." Benedict joked.

 

"I wouldn't know much about parents." She sighed, obviously she'd gotten the joke. But wasn't in the mood for any repartee between her and anyone. The day had really gotten ontop of her and she couldn't bring herself to use the mental power for comical purposes.

 

"So, what are we going to do about that reporter?" Benedict asked.

 

"Near's got someone tracking him down as we speak... And he only has a few files. Not everyone's... At least seventy-five per cent of everyone is safe I think. Though of course, I don't know for sure..."

 

"Thats not good enough." Benedict said.

 

"Well so-ry I couldn't do better working on my own, under extreme pressure with no codes and under the effects of sleeping gas!" Lana snapped irritabley. Frustrated that he seemed disapointed in her , she'd done her best. There was nothing else she could of done. Everything she'd done had been made up as she'd gone along.

 

"I was talking about Near getting someone to track this jacka**." Benedict said.

 

Kyra decided to go in the staircase up the floors of the building, but she got tired and decided to walk into the third floor, and sat down on the floor, sighing as she looked down from a glass window.

Soon enough, her phone rang, and with a ferocious sweep, she picked it up, and with a husky low voice, she murmured, 'J.A.V.A here, on patrol. So whats with the sudden phone call?'

 

"There's not a hell of a lot more he CAN do you know!" She snarled "If you want to be more active why not volenteer to help rather then whining that's it's "Not Acceptable" be more pro-active if you want stuff done! That's what I do!"

 

Benedict turned his head slowly to look at Lana and said, "You are right." Benedict pulled out a piece of paper an handed to her and said, "If there is any problems call me, okay?"

 

'Look outside...' the mysterious voice whispered softly.

Kyra looked outside, only to see a shifty 30 year old guy with some fat suitcase entering a cab.

''Ok... What am I looking for Boss?'' Kyra murmured in the same husky voice, while taking some photos from a distance of the guy in the cab.

''A male journalist... Brown hair, quite tall. We need an exact location of this guy immediately... If this is Yuu coming out with information about Kira...'' the voice yelled through the phone.

 

"Fine..." She agreed, taking the paper and shoving it roughly into a pocket of her leather trousers and turning to gaze outside again. Returning all to quickly to her dream world. Everything was so much simplier and happier there... Well, not simpley. Because as strange as it seems getting your dreams is always that little bit complicated. So, maybe life was simplier when you're miserable? Lana pondered that question as she pushed out the same images as she'd been fighting with before.

 

Benedict walked off and said out loud, "Great, I get to kill a reporter."

 

Great... I should get to kill myself one day... Lana thought as she watched the mist from her breath condensate on the cold glass. Her mind as icy as the window she was leaning against as she thought those words, no emotion was behind them. For the first time in a long while, she was considering death with no real fear. In face, she was almost hoping her data had been leaked. At least then she wouldn't go down as "the sucidal emo brat"
