"People hate too easily..."

 

"Maybe..." Lana sighed, still not looking up from the dark yet faded denim of her jeans.

 

"It's nice to look at the person you're talking to."

 

"Oh... Sorry..." Lana mumbled, lifting her head up and resting it on her knees instead of hiding behind them.

 

"No need to be sorry." He put his hand on the side of her face after brushing her hair away.

 

"Wasn't being very polite was I though?" She sighed, resting her face against his hand.

 

"No but that doesn't matter."

 

"If you say so..."

 

"You're acting so depressed. Is there something I can do to help?"

 

"I'll be fine." Lana smiled weakly, resting her hand ontop of the one he had supporting her head.

Kyra went back to her hotel room, laid face down on the bed, and placed her pillow over her head.
''I'm so f***ing stupid!! Urgh!! Why me??? Why me?? If there is a god, I'm the ant on top of the ant hill and he's the child with the sherlock looking glass... He could just leave me alone but no... He'd rather burn off my feelers and watch me squirm.'' Kyra yelled, her voice muffled underneath the pillow.

 

"Kyra? Right?" Theory asked from the doorway. "Sorry, don't mean to pry. And I don't think we've even met. It's just you left the door open and you seem a little... upset to say the least." Concern evident on her face.

 

She took the pillow off her head, still upset, and smiled weakly but kindly, saying, ''We haven't met, you're right... Yep, I am Kyra, and who are you? I haven't seen you around either.''

She wiped a tear away, and sat down.​

 

"I'm Theory, been doing some field stuff on Near's orders. To be honest I think he just got bored of me telling him he still can't bulid lego towers right." She grinned cheekily, sitting down next to her. "Want a tissue or something?"

 

She smiled, taking the tissue, and said softly, ''Thanks... Well... Near may have an obsession with lego, but I think its not as bad as burly 50 year old men creating lego-land... I bet Near would love lego land... What type of field stuff? I'm quite curious.''​

 

"I expect that'll be his Christmas present or something seeing as we're back in England." Theory giggled "And it wasn't anything to fun, mainly things to do with tracking Laya and that. I was also leading that mission that no one survived... Feel a little guity I wasn't on the front lines with them, but you can't change the past." She said determindly. "Now, what's wrong with you? Why so glum?"

 

She sighed, and said, ''Lately, almost everything. My step-sis died 3 years ago from this date... There's this creepy-assed 17 year old guy that goes to my uni, popping out of nowhere with no flippin money... And well... I'm just depressed...''​

 

"I can see why..." She smiled understandingly. "Sounds like a load of bad times swarmed you at a very bad time... Things'll soon look up though. They always do."

 

"Are you sure?"
