Return of Kira: Part Two-Betrayal

"Yeah... So you now know how so much blood managed to come out when I ripped them open. F*cking huge incision they decided to do..."

 

"I can picture that...But I don't do so well with blood."

 

"I don't perticulary like it myself to be honest. I just learnt to put up with it... And you almost had a panic attack over Akito's blood..."

 

"There were other reasons..." He said, not wanting to admit he freaked out that much just over some blood

 

"Make you feel any better I spaz out anytime I hear thunder... Everytime there's a thunderstorm I tend to be hidden in a wardrobe or under my bed or something... Even now when I'm nearly nineteen."

 

"Well that does make me feel better, no offensive."

 

"I know, it's pathetic." Lana laughed. "I don't even know why I'm scared of it anymore. Sure there's a reason. I just can't remember what the damn thing is."

 

"We all have fears. We are after all humans."

Kyra nodded, and then said, ''Well... we have our own experiences... And thats how we become what we are today...''

 

"Exactly." Blondie nodded at Kyra.

"Yeah, exactly... You know why you're scared of blood? Or is it just one of those things?"

"You sure?" Lana asked, she'd overheard some of the much more senior agents talking about the warehouse meeting once. And it sounded like one big gory horror film from what she'd heard. And Near had been around her age then, and she knew for a fact that she'd of been scared sh*tless even if he hadn't. And nothing of that magnitude could of not made an effect on him.

 

"Yes I am sure."

 

"Alright." Lana nodded, resting cautiously against him. The flickering of her eyelids triggering some locked of memory. Her eyes suddenly snapping wide open. "I know why I'm scared of thunder..." She said quickly. "They locked me out... I was six, seven at the most... The others... It was only just becoming dark when the rain started to fall so they let out in the rain... Not that many did, then the clouds grew thicker... Then the thunder started... everyone ran inside... Cept me... Back when I love rain and just standing out in it made me happy... Then lightening struck one of the trees nearby... I panicked and rushed back in, but they'd miscounted us in and had locked the door... I stuck out in the rain, and the thunder for half an hour... maybe more before they noticed..."

 

He put his arms around her. "That sounds awful."

 

"Just my jinx again..." Lana laughed feabley, though she was clutching to Near a lot more then she had ever before. How she'd hated that place, she didn't want to remember any of it..

 

"I'm scared of blood becuase of what happened in that warehouse when the last Kira case ended. Only fair I tell you."

 

"Wh-what happened there?" Lana asked, releasing her grip just enough to be able to look directly at him.

 

"One of the people there commited sudice but stabbing himself to help Light get away and in doing so all of this blood sprayed everywhere."

 

As Lana slowly blinked her eyes in disbelief a haunting image of what Near had just discribed danced across the dark red of the inside of her eyelids. And little did she know it, her imagination captured the moment perfectly. "Oh... That's just... Oh good god..." Lana mumbled. "That's awful..."
