Return of Kira: Part Two-Betrayal

"Gah... Fine..." Lana gave in. "If it'll stop you worrying..."

 

"I worry for you just as much you worry for me."

 

"I don't make you take your shirt off though..." Lana muttered, hauling herself to her feet with a great deal of pain.

 

"Thankfully." He said also standing up and making sure she didn't fall

 

"Gah..." Lana mumbled, trying to figure out if just pulling it down at the back would work. Unfortuantly not in this case... So she took a deep breath out of nervousness and pulled it up as much as she could. But of course it only showed the very bottom of the sitches. The world is so against me today... She thought irratabley. Before pulling it over her head. Thankfull that her back was at least partly covered still. Though the red and now enflamed stitches that ran down her spine certainly made her feel all the more selfconcious.

 

"Wow...You should go to a doctor."

 

"Last time I did that they just ripped the staples out of me..." Lana mumbled, fidgeting nervously.

 

"How did they do that?"

 

"Pull them out basicly." Lana said dismissively. "The stitches were healing normally again and there wasn't any need for them to be kept in there."

 

Mellody gazd blankly at the roof, walking towards the room Near and Lana were in...

 

"Oh okay...Doesn't look so good now."

 

"It's prob'ley just a little brusied or something... I slammed into that wall pretty hard."

 

"I know. I am surisped it isn't worse."

 

"Then when I... Just ow is all I'm saying, bloody hell was that thing hard." She said, scowling at the beside table.

 

Mellody smiled, opening the door, and stopping dead in her tracks, staring blankly over at the two of them, and noting the fact that Lana was at least half-shirtless and Near was staring at her...

 

In the corner of her eye Lana caught the tiniest glimpse of blonde hair and shiny leather. "Please please tell me I'm seeing things and Mellody isn't in the doorway..." She said quietly, not daring to move her head.

 

He backed away. "It's her." He wishpered back. "I was just looking at her stiches."

 

"Yeah... ok..." Mellody replied, quickly went to leave, falling over herself, and slamming hard into the floor. "I... i'll leave you to it then..."

 

"F*ck..." Lana sighed, pulling her top back on faster then she'd believed possible whislt somehow managing to stay calm. "Seriously, he was. I hope..."

 

"i-i-i... it-i-umm... it's really none of my business...!" Mellody reminded, getting back up, lost for words. "I-i'll just leave you two to it then..."
