Return of Kira: Part Two-Betrayal

Mellody looked after her, a sort of half understanding look in her eyes, before getting up and following her. "Sorry Near, i gotta go as well..."

 

Lana had already disappeared back into her bedroom and was trying, and failing, to move her suitcase from the bathroom.

 

Mellody followed her to her room, and knocked on the door lightly. "Want some help?"

 

"I'm fine, I got it!" Lana replied, determind to not be beaten by the suitcase. However, it seemed the case was more stubborn then her and she ended up losing her grip and falling into the empty bath. Hiting her head rather heavily on the taps. "F*ck..." she whined, holding her hands over the back of her head.

 

"Yeah..." Mellody sighed walking up and picking up the suitcase. "I'm helping, now where do you want it?"

 

"On my bed... I was gonna go through it and see what I had... Don't ask why, it was just starting to bug me..." Lana explained, climbing out of the bathtub

 

"You know i'm going to ask anyway right?" Mellody reminded, putting the suitcase on the bed and opening it.

 

"If you have to know what you said has kinda stuck in my head. And I'll admit I've gotten lazy in my appearence recently. What with the stitches and all I haven't been able to wear my normall clothes. Hell just my bra pressing on it has been hurting like hell so I've been avoiding clothes that fit. And my hair takes a lot of time to get straight, and even longer to curl. So yeah... that's why I've been looking rather sh*tty recently..."

 

Mellody sighed, turning around and sticking her hands on her hip. "You look fine! besides we don't need another good looking prissy b*tch do we?"

 

"Point is," Lana sighed opening her suitcase "That I used to care about what I looked like, now I look, like you said: Like a ten cent whore. And at the very least I want to look like a slightly more expensive one..." She joked. "It's just, all the stuff I used to wear now makes me cringe. I guess I've grown up or something because I just don't like it anymore. So it's rearraging the clothes into outfits I will wear... at the moment that's the dress, this jacket and a few of my more colourful tops." She pulled out a red strap top that was burried in the corner of the case. "Such as this, I ain't worn since I was... well 13. Much the same as these jeans..."

 

"And they still fit?" Mellody asked her eye half twitching.

 

"Mellody, I'm 77 pounds and 5 feet tall. I'm hardly going to of grown that much."

 

Mellody shrugged. "Everyone grows..."

 

"Not me. I've been five foot since I was tweleve. And my weight just does it's own thing..." Lana shrugged as she climbed onto her bed to get a better look at what she had in the case.

 

Mellody sighed. "Well, since i'm alreaedy here, you want me to help?"

 

"If you want. I don't really mind." Lana replied, still digging through her clothes. "You know, we move around so much I haven't unpacked for real for over a year... I just live out of a suitcase."

 

"We're going shopping by the way..." Mellody stated randomly. "And you have no choice either."

 

"I'm not going outside until the Kira thing's died back down again... I'm not leaving him until we have an idea whose on what side." Lana replied firmly.

 

"Then i'll just have to drag the both of you."

 

"He won't go, it's too dangerous. Andit'll bored the sh*t outta him" Lana sighed. "I'll go with you on my own when everything's died down a little."
