Return of Kira: Part Two-Betrayal

Lana nodded, still looking rather confused. Both at what had just happened and at the bizzare noise she'd made.

 

"You don't mind that I did that right?" He asked, thinking that it wasn't the best idea at the moment

 

Lana shook her head, looking rather shocked he'd thought it had been a bad idea. In her veiw, there would never of been a bad time for that moment.

 

He smiled again. "Good."

 

Lana smiled back at him. After thinking for a moment she tried to speak again, however she came out with a rather strong stutter as she spoke and her voice was still so weak. "I-I love y-you." was all she could say, it was all she could think to some extent too.

 

"I know you do...I love you too."

 

Lana smile grew even brighter and she hugged him again. Frustrated with herself that she still was left almost speachless by his kiss.

 

He hugged her back

 

Lana drew slowly back from the embrace and curled back into her unusual sitting postion that she only ever adopted when she wasn't quite all there, through exhustion, shock or even just being in a emotionally comfortable enviroment. Resting her head on her knees and just watching Near in silence.

 

"Are you sure you're okay?"

 

Lana nodded, thinking that she really needed to start taling again. But everytime she tried her voice vanished.

 

He looked down at the couch

 

Lana slowly extended a hand a tipped his head up gently. "I-I'm fine," She said weakly, before her voice gave out again. Closing her eyes in concentration she managed to get another few syllables out. "In- In fact... I-I've never been better." Lana finished, opening her eyes and smiling at him.

 

He returned the smile. "Okay." He said and leaned his head on her hand tiredly

 

"You tired again?" Lana asked, her voice finally returning to normal. It seemed to concentration had paid off.

 

"No I am not."

 

"You look a little tired... Nevermind."

 

Mellody smiled having watched for the last few minutes and dog whistling at them happily.

 

He turned to see who made the whistle and saw Mellody "Oh great..."

 

"F*cking hell..." Lana sighed as she saw her out of the corner of her eye. "Heya Mellody..."
