Return of Kira: Part Three-Confused Souls

"Alright I will. I did make a proisme after all."

 

"Good." Lana smiled.

 

"You will too?"

 

"Seems only fair that I do if you do."

 

"Good then."

 

Lana looked shyly up at him from the corner of her eyes. Simply watching him as they walked. It truley did amaze her how much she loved him, and it amazed her even more that he loved her back. If you'd told her even just a few months ago that she'd be as happy as she was, be as in love as she was, she'd never of believed that life could be so kind.

 

"Is something on your mind?"

 

"Just thinking how different this birthday is to my last." She smiled reaching across with her other hand and stroking his soft white hair.

 

He smiled and hugged her

 

Lana smiled as she hugged him back.

 

He looked up at her and leaned in to give her a kiss

 

Lana leaned in also and kissed him softly. Playing gently with the back of his hair.

 

When he backed away he smiled

 

Lana smiled back at him as her blush slowly faded.

"Near and Luna sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G!" Theory chanted loudly from her perch on the back of one of the chairs that the hotel seemed to have randomly strewn about through out the large floors.

 

He looked over at Theory. "Very mature of you."

 

"I never claimed to be all grown up. Never intend to be either." She giggled sticking her tounge out at the pair of them. "Just because you two are all 'adult' doesn't mean I have to be."

 

"Well you got a point there."

 

Theory giggled and jumped off her seat. "Anyways, happy birthday Luna" She smiled. "I'd hug ya but I think Near has that covered."

Lana smiled "Thanks Theory."

"Also I wanted to get you guys caught up on the lastest Kira activity. Matt is still very below the radar but I think there's a connection between him and the American Kira though unfortunatly I'm yet to discover any hard evidence of that, which quite frankly is a pain in the butt. The American Kira is still just American Kira, though I maintain he or she isn't a 'real' Kira rather then a criminal with a Death Note but you alread know my veiw on that. The replacement Kira that took over from Laya is still carrying on in a methodical way, eliminating every criminal in the world by severity of their crimes, however people in the UK Goverment who aren't doing what most people in the country deem as a good job have also died in the same manner as the criminals killed by Kira. Sorry to put a damper on your day, but with today being the aniversary of what it is everyone's kinda on edge and with Kira plane attacks still hanging over everyone and all I thought I should give you the complete update." Theory said in a business like tone. Proving that when she wanted to be she could in fact behave like a responsible adult and a good agent.

 

"Thanks for the update. If things keep going this way the Kiras might try to get rid of each other. But what's the news on 13?"

 

"I seriously wish the guy had chosen a different name." Lana muttered to herself, she was still slightly miffed that the name that had once been Near's nick-name for her was now a name associated with the very people they were up against. The people trying to kill the person who'd given her the name.

"The update on 13? Well as far as we know he and Replacement Kira organized a redevous but we can't know where or when. But he vanished soon after that, just after the American Kira started up." Theory explained. "He seems to be a lot of talk, but not too much action. Though he could be the key to turning the Kira's against each other."
