Return of Kira: Part Three-Confused Souls

He went into his room, leaving the door unlocked, and went to sit in front of the couch on the floor

 

Lana sighed sadly and went to go have a shower. Emerging a few mintues later dressed in her normal emo skinny jeans and strapped top with green a hooded jacket over the top. Her make-up also done to perfection, she glanced over at the gift again and wandered over to go pick it up.

She carfully picked it up and turned it over and over in her hands trying to figure out what it was. After even a few moments she realised it was a book. Lana ran her hand over the cover and sighed once again. Carfully she stowed it in her jacket pocket and walked out of the room shutting the door behind her.

 

ooc can books even fit in jacket pockets...?


He thought he was rude not to go in with Lana so he got up and when he opened the door he saw Lana down the hall

Lana smiled at Near and waved slightly as she walked up to him.

He returned a smile. "Do you like it...?"

 

OOC- Yarsh you do.

"I haven't actually opened it yet." She replied pulling it out of her poket. "Wanted you to be around when I did." Lana smiled tugging at the corner of the wraping paper and tearing the paper off. Under the paper was an old looking, but perfect condition book. With the titles written in gold lettering across the cover, it was a book of William Shakespeare's sonnets. Carfully she opened the book and looked at the publishing details, it was dated from around the 1800s. "Oh my god..." She said quietly.

"So what you think? You talked about it before so I thought maybe you'll like it..."

 

"I love it... Oh my god..." Lana grinned flicking through the pages of the book. "Thank-you so much!" She exclaimed hugging him tightly.

 

He smiled. "I'm glad you do." He said and hugged her back.

 

"I can't believe that I only mentioned this like once and you remembered." Lana smiled looking through the pages again.

 

"Well I do have good memory."

 

"I'm glad you do." She grinned hugging him again.

 

"Well happy birthday."

 

"Thanks." She smiled looking up at him.

 

"No problem." He puased for a moment. "What do you think of London?"

 

"London? I can't say I've seen enough of it to make much of a judgement."

 

"Would you like to go there?"

 

"Yeah, I guess I would. Why?"

 

"We could go today if you want."

 

Lana blinked as she thought it through, she'd only ever been to London the once. And that had been when she was around five years old, so maybe taking the oppertuinity would be best. But still in the heat of the Kira case was going out in public such a good idea for either of them? Especially Near... But then again she may not get the chance to go again what with the case going the way it was... "Yeah, can we?"
