Return of Kira: Part Three-Confused Souls

"Ask a question and I'll see what I can do to answer it."


"You seem in a good mood today."

 

"Alright, what were Laya's plans for if she was caught? I'm sure she had them. I would like to know every detail you know about the plans for those events. Where the Notebook would go, who to and what would she do with herself etc etc." Lidner requested in a slightly forceful tone. Hoping to make sure that Akito knew that she ment business.

"Of course I am." Lana said, biting the end of her right index finger as she spoke. "Certainly better for having stopped falling off of stuff and getting tangled in things." She giggled softly as she slid out of her seat to go in search of her breakfast from the breakfast buffey style layout that the hotel provided every morning for it's guests.

 

"Um let's see... She said she had a friend somewhere who always got her out of trouble before and if she had no memories then she should be fine... Now what was his name...."


"You're very clusmsy."

 

Lidner leaned against the door of Akito's isolation cell as she awaited for the rest of the answer. Inspecting the edges of her fine, long, blonde hair.

"Geez, you only just realised that? I thought you were smart." Lana teased as she helped herself to some of the toast in the large racks that were laid out on the tables. Toast was basicly the only breakfast food Lana would even consider touching, mainly because since childhood she'd learn that all other foods could stain and leave smells in your hair that could last through several washes.

 

"Nope can't remember it." He said with a grin.


"I realized that a while ago."

 

"Take your time to think of it. A location maybe? While you think of his name."

"Good, I was starting to worry you didn't know me at all!" She replied in a mockingly over dramatic tone of woe. "Now get some food will ya."

 

"Nah. I don't know know where he is."


"I don't know what to eat."

 

"Alright, the name then? What is it?"

"Just pick something." Lana shrugged. "Or pick a little bit of everything."

 

"Ah I remember now. But I don't see what's in it for me if I tell you."


"But...nothing looks good."

 

"Well, truthfully not a whole lot. But you are going down for aiding a vicious serial killer, you may as well do some good while you have the chance. It could also help you lower your sentance if you assist us in our investigations." Theory explained as she 'accidently' stood on Lidner's foot.

Lidner winced slightly as Theory pressed her entire body weight onto her foot. And, more to her annoyance, her expensive new shoes that she'd only purchased a few days before. She irratatedly surpressed the erdge to snarl and snap at the irksome girl.

"And you said that you weren't fussy." Lana smiled as she shook her head. "There's got to be something you at least wouldn't mind eating. Even if it's just an apple or something." Lana sighed. "You could be surprised, even if something doesn't look like you want to eat it you might try a bit and find you actually like it.

 

"Well that's true... First."


"Fine then...an apple would work."

 

"First what?" Theory pressed on.

"Oh please, who would be named 'First'. That's not even a real name." Lidner scoffed with a toss of her long ash blonde hair. "Oh what shall we call our son? Harry? James? First?" She sneered in a mocking and high pitched tone.

"And Beyond is a real name according to your rules? Because there sure as hell was a Beyond, and I don't think you're in any postion to take the mickey out of names Halle . Only other time I've heard that used was on some Bond Girl." Theory retorted with an out of character smirk. "Can you tell us the rest of his name please?"

"Alrighty then." Lana nodded, tossing one of the red apples from the near by fruit basket to him.

 

"First Friday. I always disliked that guy...."


He cuaght it then looked down at it. "Why thank you."

 

"First Friday. Thank-you." Theory nodded. "Is there anything else you know?" She requested.

"First Friday." Lidner repeated as she committed the name to her memory.

"No worries." Lana smiled as she past him to go and sit back at their table. Setting her plate of toast down on the table before slipping back into her seat.

 

"About him? Not really."


He sat back down and bit into the apple.

 

"Anything else that isn't about him?" Theory pressed on.

Lana watched him for a moment, happy that she'd finally seen him eat again. After a short while she looked back down at her own food, the slice of plain, toasted, brown, wholemeal bread. She broke off a piece with her fingers and ate it.

 

"Like what exactly?"


He looked down at her toast. "Is that all you're eating?"

 

"Anything." Theory shrugged.

"You're in no postion to talk, you've only got an apple." Lana commented as she picked up the rest of the slice and bit a piece off of it.

 

"Nope can't think of anything at the moment."


"But.... Fine."

 

Matt grinned, as he leaned back. His favorite anime, Darker than Black, was on the tv in the backround at the moment. He was sitting back, relaxing in his chair, as he looked at the computer, writing down name after name. It was not on the internet or anything either. It was on a word document that he had saved. "Sheesh. I'll probably be a hero to most of the world. Killen all these people off like this at such a fast rate, especially since they're all these americans. Taken care of the second greatest cause of global warming" he mumbled to himself with a smirk.
