Yes! Looking forward to having Leon back. And Ada is a nice addition. Loved Resi 4 to pieces, slightly disappointed with Resi 5, but still a fun co-op game. I'm liking the idea of having multiple stories that cross-over, hopefully giving us a decent sized game.
At least Chris isn't on steroids anymore. And I was going to say "This is Raccoon City all over again" until Leon beat me to it >_> The game looks good. I'll probably end up buying it since I'm a Resident Evil fan, even though I was pretty disappointed with RE5. I like the idea of several story branches. I just hope the individual stories aren't short. And please for the love of god, no co-op. Or at least give us the option to turn it off or something.
Leon, sighting a zombie : "Stay were you are !" Yeah, coz that line worked so well for him in the five outbreaks he went through ! :stupid: On that "it' s so bad it' s good" note : I thought RE6 was gonna drop the RE4-5-Revelations action formula ? Haven' t they learned by now that pasting creepy environments and enemies in a TPS doesn' t make it a survival horror game ? Oh well, I didn' t expect them to get back to the original formula I so desperately crave anyway, at that point I might as well wish to meet the tooth fairy.
Oh hey Forsaken, we should totally play- ...why? ;_____; I can see your reason for it. Partners in Resi 5 weren't the most intelligent, but I did enjoy playing with others. Being able to turn it off would be nice but I kinda get the impression they'll place more co-op in the game.
I just watched the gameplay trailer for this on youtube, and while I don't play Resident Evil, this looks like it could be a really good game. But it seems like people are really starting to hate it. I don't see why though, it's got plenty of action and zombies, which is what resident evil is supposed to be. It can be either a horror game or an action game, and it just turned into a action game. But how many people are they bringing into this one? There were a lot of different people. And was that Chris coming in? Doesn't he run some sort of thing against zombies? I wonder how the president is going to become a zombie though, that was strange. I have to continue watching walkthroughs of the games so I can catch up That's a pretty interesting trailer. There's not much too it, but we'll probably get another soon enough. I'm really looking forward to this movie. They may not follow the games, and people hate them, but I love the resident evil movies. They're good with the action, and I don't care if they're horror films. They're really going all-out with the zombies though. I mean, that thing looked like a zombie rhino
In RE3 Leon' s character file (seen above) implied that he made a deal with the government to secure Sherry Birkin, yet she was never heard of since. In RE4 Leon protects the president' s blond daughter, Ashley Graham, who is the exact same age as Sherry. Then in the RE6 trailer comes this blond chick, she has Sherry' s haircut and Ashley' s voice. Keeping in mind that suddenly changing the characters eye color wouldn' t be a big deal at all for Capcom (they already made much more drastic changes in the series without bothering to give the beginning of an explanation, hell, in Darkside Chronicles Sherry was blond in CGs and brunette in-game) ...
I am no longer excited for Resident Evil as a horror series. But it is shaping up to be a pretty nice sci-fi action/thriller series :L They say it's 4 and 5-influenced but I'm skeptical. Doesn't look that scary. I can already tell the treasure-hunting will not be back, but oh well. I'd just like it to accomplish a goal instead of awkwardly straddling two incompatible genres. Also why did they make Leon look like a dirty hobo with a humongous jaw? Can Capcom please resist turning their characters into more egregious American hero stereotypes with every iteration? I liked the clean-cut Leon, and it made more sense since he's taking gov't jobs and chillin' with the prez. Will probably get it no matter what gripe I come up with. I did enjoy 5, if only for Mercenaries. ...Ok, and the second Wesker fight is pretty ballin'
i imagine it might be like Versus mode in RE5 which was four players where you were competing to get kills or kill each other. i for one am actually glad about the zero fear factor, i liked RE5 for being an action game. also, i hope the offline multiplayer is for storymode and not just Raid Mode or Mercenaries or whatever they call it now.
Same here, but after the last portion of RE5 I'm seriously concerned it's going to become another in a large, overcrowded set of chest-high-walls-games.
