I want to host a file larger than 1GB. It needs to be able to be shared to others, or rather, at least one other person. I do not wish to pay money. I am aware of the option of splitting it into multiple RAR files and uploading it on Megaupload or a similar site, but I would rather refrain from doing so if there is a more pleasing alternative.

File dropper has a nice size limit (5GB). But I've gotten mixed results from trying to use it in the past.

I know there are several other sites that support large files for free but I am having trouble recalling them.

If not filedropper, you could use 4shared/2shared.

Also, if its an option, you can make a .torrent out of it. If you don't know how, I can explain how.

After failure with both Filesavr and Megaupload, I have resorted to trying Dropbox. If that fails, I'll give Filedropper a go, but I'm hesitant. It'd suck to have it upload, only to fail like Filesavr did.
