Okay, rep is the little green gems under your avatar. They increase every few hundred rep points you get. When you rep someone, you give one rep point per gem you have and one rep point per thousand posts you have.

To give rep, click on the scales icon under the avatar of the person. It should be next to a red/blue person and a warning sign. Select whether you want to leave positive or negative rep and type a message if you want.

Check your rep on the User CP/

Oh right, that's how you rep somebody?

I was kinda confused on how much rep is given per person, I know when you get more, your rep power increases.

    Thanks for the info :)

Actually your rank isn't one of the deciding factors in rep (with the exception of admins who give a default of 45)

The amount of rep you give is based on your rep points, your post count and how long you have been a member.

How you give rep has already been explained so I won't repeat that :b

Nope, it works something like this:

You give 1 point for every 100 posts you have, 1 point for every 200 rep you have and 1 point for every 50 days that you have been a member.

I am not entirely sure if that is correct, but it is something like that :b I can't remember what I changed it to when I was admin.

hmm... i just thought it was like 5% of total rep and 15% if admin lol

or something around that, because when you gave me rep once i got like 80 points

You wouldn't have got 80 points :B when I was admin I gave 45 by default, now that I am just a prem I give 40 (because I have high posts, high rep and I have been a member for two and a half years).

Anyway, we are going off topic so if you want to carry on talking message me :B

Wut? What the hell are you talking about? ._. If those were the requirements, you'd give out a million points.
Last time I checked, it was 1 point every 1000 posts and 1 point every 180 days. The 1 point for every 200 rep is correct though.

And in which case, to those still wondering, you can easily calculate how much rep you give out.

Seeing that your question's been answered, I'm gonna lock this.

Also, don't ask for rep or make threads asking for rep, those are against the rules.
