My PCSX2 seems to keep having an app crash. It's not loading a game or anything. But if i say , extract the PCSX2 file i have with everything that is the RAR file. I use it for a bit. But after about a few hours. If i reopen the file , it seems to instantly crash. I don't know whether my version is bugged or anything. I use PCSX2 0.9.6 and the same seems to happen on the 0.9.8 version. Are there any solution's to this problem?
Did PCSX2 used to work on that machine? Some computers simply can't handle emulating the PS2 which leads to several stability issues. Would you mind giving screen caps of your plugin settings?
It's been working fine for about 3-4 months. only recently has it begun this app crash. and i don't know the cause :\
Well I would say to look into settings. Just set everything to be stable for now, and you can tweak for higher speeds later. Under "Emulation Settings" check the box that say preset and slide the setting to "Safest" Under video plugin settings set your renderer to a software iteration, threads to 1, and turn off anti-aliasing. Under audio plugin settings set Interpolation to Nearest, the Module to XAudio 2, the Synchronizing Mode to TimeStretch, and the Audio Expansion Mode to Stereo.
I don't remember the settings changing much if that is what you are getting at with my post, but if 0.9.6 still works then by all means use it.
