Remnants of The Wielders

Orias looked at them. "Yay, we're all friends again." He stood next to Xenree and looked at Shamurix. "Ready you two?"

 

Sharumix smiled at Orias. "Ready!" she said. This was going to be an interesting adventure.

 

Xenree shook her head slowly and let the darkness swallow the three. On instinct Xenree pulled the two with her as she stepped into a light. The light dimmed considerably as they stepped onto a stone bridge. Everything looked....dark and gloomy. "Hm....not a very populated place....there must be hearts here somewhere..."

 

Sharumix looked around. "This place looks familiar..." Xenree was right, it didn't look like there was a lot of population here. She had been planning on walking around by herself, she didn't want to see Xenree steal more hearts. But if there wasn't a lot of population here, Xenree could leave any second, and Sharumix didn't want to get left behind.

 

Orias looked at his two friends. "well." he said ,"nothing here"

 

Pursing her lips Xenree narrowed her eyes on the castle, "No....I sense something...a few hearts left behind....changed....a spell? They're mine." She stubbornly walked forward toward the large barred door. "Trying to keep something in? ....Or out? Either way...we need to get inside." Taking half a step backwards Xenree lifted her palm out to the door, "Outta my way!" Dark lightning burst from her palm and broke apart the door.

 

Sharumix opened her mouth like she was about to protest, but then remembered her promise to not get in the way. Besides, if the inhabitants of this world were about to be destroyed, what did it really matter that they didn't have a front door anymore? Still, she didn't like it. She pursed her lips and followed Xenree inside, then changed her mind. "I think I'll wait out here," she said, stepping back out into the night. "If you want to, you can come get me when you're done."

 

Xenree nodded to Sharumix, "If that's what you want.... Though coming back might be a challenge...I sense a strong life force in this castle. They won't go without a fight."

 

Sharumix sighed. "Well, if you don't come back, I'll just go somewhere else. Be careful." She looked at Orias and half smiled, trying to lighten the mood. "Don't make me come save you again."

 

Xenree shrugged off Sharumix's reluctancy to come with them and headed into the castle's gloomy foyer. "This place...I don't remember if there was any recollection in Riku's journal." She felt a wave of exhaustion overcome her and leaned heavily against a pillar.

 

Sharumix sighed, now that she was alone, she felt... lost somehow. She walked slowly through the courtyard, breathing in the night air and gazing up at the stars. She went through the gate that led to the bridge. Something was very familiar about this place. She walked to the edge and looked over the low wall. It was a long fall to the bottom of the ravine. She turned around, then she remembered. This was the place where Xion and Riku had fought. Where Riku had told her that her keyblade was a fake. Sharumix gasped as memories started to flood in. A giant heartless was attacking the bridge. A walking talking candelabra. A beast, frightening and gentle. A beautiful girl, the only human in the bunch. Sora, visiting this place. It was all in her memory.

 

Xenree felt a sharp electric current spark through her head and a small memory of Riku fighting a girl in black...Xion lodged into her visual image of Riku's journal. "Hmm..." A fierce roar echoed through the castle and suddenly a furred purple caped beast jumped from the stairs and landed in front of Xenree and Orias. "You do NOT belong here! This is MY castle and you are dressed as Xaldin was! I will not let you change my mind and believe darkness is the only way to protect myself!" Xenree smiled, "Well that is unfortunate...I haven't even said one word and you've already spilled all your secrets about the past."

 

Sharumix heard the roar from inside the castle and turned around. The Beast was still here, and he was angry. He must have found Xenree. "No..." she whispered. Without a second thought, she ran off the bridge and through the courtyard. She went through the broken front door and saw Xenree and Orias standing in the foyer, their backs to her, and the Beast in front of them. "Xenree!" she called out. "I know I said I wouldn't get in your way, but I'm sorry, I can't let you do this!" She went and stood in between Xenree and the Beast. "Pease," she said. "Don't do this."

 

Xenree glared at Sharumix in front of her. "I knew bringing you would be trouble. This is why Nobodies work ALONE!" Beast growled and sniffed at Sharumix, "Who are you?"

 

Orias had wandered off in secret. He had come face to face with a short blonde teenager in a red coat. "Dude! you're so...short!" The teenager looked mad. "YOU THINK I'M SHORT!? COULD A SHORT GUY DO THIS!?" he somehow made opart of his right arm into a sword and smiled evilly. "Uh oh." Orias said.

 

Sharumix turned and smiled at the Beast. "I'm no one, really. Just a friend." Then she turned and faced Xenree. "I'm sorry," she said. "But this is wrong. I can't just sit back and let you harm the people of this world. Or any other world, for that matter. I don't want to fight you, But I will." she summoned her keyblade and held it up in defense. "If you want to steal their souls, you're going to have to go through me."

 

Xenree shrugged and spread her arms out at her sides, "Unfortunately, you do not decide which souls I take. Crowley does." A circle of magic emblazoned itself on the ground and Xenree closed her eyes, "How would this world turn so cold? When darkness comes to this world...it embodies a form. Me." A sort of twilight light started to seep into the castle. Beast heard a scream and several glowing orbs of blueish white light floated down the stairs and toward Xenree.

 

Orias was suddenly thrown through the window. SWSit a loud thud, he landed in front of the girls. "Hi guys," he said. "What's up?"

 

"Hello, Orias." Sharumix said calmly. "Nothing really. I'm just going to do something completely stupid in a hopeless attempt to stop your lifelong friend from destroying the worlds. It most likely won't work and I'll probably kill myself in the attempt, but hey, I'm not real anyway, so what does it matter?" With that said, Sharumix held her keyblade ready to attack and ran past Orias and charged at Xenree. She had no idea what would happen. But she had to try something. She couldn't just let them lose their hearts to Crowley. She couldn't let him win.

 

Xenree wouldn't move as her spell ravaged against Beasts's heart and will to live. She felt Sharumix's Keyblade cut into her and gritted her teeth in pain, "This isn't for Crowley you idiot! It's for me!" Belle's and the rest of the souls in the castle sunk into Xenree's body.
