Remnants of The Wielders

Crowley picked up the two orbs and turned toward Xenree in Orias' arms. "She'll need the darkness to continue to live as she does. Give her to me and I can fix her." Crowley pocketed the light orb and held his hand out for Xenree's unconscious body.

 

Orias thought for a moment. Then, the awnser fell through his lips:
"Take me instead."

 

Crowley tilted his head and dropped his hand, "You would sacrifice your friend for ultamite power? Why you almost sound like Xenree..." he chuckled.

 

"I'm not sacrificing her." Orias stared determinedly at Crowley. "Heal her and then I'll take her place for you."

 

Hogsan had followed everything that they had been saying with a look of confusion on his face. "I... don't understand." He mumbled. Hogsan had never been stupid, but he certainly wasn't the sharpest tool in the head and honestly didn't know what was happening any more. "Maybe I..." Hogsan was struggling with words. Trying to find the right way to get out of everything that had been happening. "Look Marushi- I mean Sharumix." He grimaced, entirely unaware of why she might have changed her name and appearance after dying and coming back. "I don't know whats happening and I'm not sure if i want to know, but I want do want to know if I'm needed at all." That came out wrong. He really just wanted to get out of it all, but if he needed to be here... well then he would be here. But if he wasn't needed... as it seemed right now, then why was he staying. These people weren't really his friends after all.

 

Sharumix sighed. "Hogsan," she said. This was going to be difficult. "I... I'm not real. I'm a puppet. I don't know why I was created, but Crowley made me, and then I must've messed up or something... I don't really remember. He pretty much threw me away. I woke up in Twilight Town, and met you and everyone else, then I started to remember who I was." She gave a sort of sad chuckle. "Well, who I wasn't, really. Somehow, I have the memories of Keyblade wielders who lived a hundred years ago. I don't know how I got them, Crowley has something to do with it. And he's got some sort of hold on Xenree. She's doing his dirty work, I guess you could say. He's making her pay off some debt of his. I'm really not sure. And now he implied that she might know more about my memories and how they became mine. I'm going to go find her and ask her about it." She looked up at him, and smiled. "You don't have to come with me if you don't want to. I know this is more than you bargained for, and I'm not going to force you to fight a battle that isn't yours." She finished, and waited for him to decide.

 

Crowley tilted his head this way and that, as if actually considering. He laughed a bit and guestured for Xenree again, "Let me fix her...or she'll die. Xenree has agreed to the contract and it is signed in her blood. If it is broken...her seven years are forfitted and I gain her life... Either way...you lose your friend. You cannot take her place as she is mine. Xenree's duty can only be done by the descendent of Riku...not Sora."

 

Orias thought for a second... If she needs darkness.. "Fine..." He told Crowley. "As long as I can see her when I want to. No questions asked. Do we have a deal?" He was fine as long as he could make sure Xenree was ok and safe.

 

Crowley laughed, "So the little boy wants to play the romantic....fine. But you cannot interfere with her duty. Xenree's job is important...and you are nothing but a nusance." he pulled Xenree from Orias' arms and touched the dark orb to her chest where it melded into her body. Awaken...my precious... Xenree's eyes flitted open and she moaned, "Crowley....my...time...?" He glared at her, "Seven months....You're running out of time Xenree." She sighed and he placed her back onto the ground, "Finish your duty here and come home."

 

"so, exactly what is this duty you have to fufill?" Orias asked Xenree. He was a little uncomfortable because of the kiss but he dissmissed it as him being an idiot.

 

Crowley disappeared and Xenree panted, "My...duty...I'm to...take the s-souls...of the citizens of the worlds..." She blinked slowly, "Orias....I owe Crowley my life...I have no choice in what he asks..."

 

Orias put his arm around her and gently stood her up. "C'mon, those souls won't collect themselves." He told her. "Not that I approve of this but I can't let you give your life to someone else. Especially someone as creepy and demented as Crowley." He smiled at her to let her know he waswith her all the way.

 

Xenree let him pick her up and sighed, "Thank you Orias..." Slowly, she stretched in his arms, "Orias...why did you kiss me?"

 

"I thought it was obvious." Orias laughed. :I kissed you cuz I love you. Since we were kids. Got it memorized?"

 

Xenreee squirmed until she fell out of his arms, "You....you love me? Are you nuts! You can't love a Nobody! Orias...?!" she ran out of words. Without her real heart Xenree couldn't make sense of Orias' emotions.

 

Orias looked at her. "Yes I can, and I do... If you don't love me back that's fine, but I will love you anyway... We'll get your heart back. I promise," he told her

 

Xenree shook her head and continued into the town Bazzar. Several people were standing there buying food and trading. Xenree would've felt bad if she had a heart. "Here we go..." "Darkness devour their bodies and consume their hearts...leave behind a simplistic form of their souls." THe area turned pitch black and when it lightened again it was a mear shadow of the light of the sun...The people were replaced by glowing balls of white lights.

 

"ok... that was cool" oria said after evedything was over

 

Xenree staggered and leaned on Orias. "Cool...or not...it takes a lot of energy from me." The souls flocked toward Xenree and swarmed around them, Please...why would you do it? Why did you take us away? I can't find my mommy...

 

Orias looked at the souls and heard the voices. He shudderedx. "That's kinda creepy." he told her. "But anyway, let's keep going."
