Remnants of The Wielders

Xenree fumbled with her words, "I...I owe Crowley all the darkness inside me... Our initial deal was he'd lend me all the darkness he had available to him if I gave him something in return.." Xenree hesitated, "He has held up his end of the deal and if my part isn't filled by the end of seven years I....I forfit my life to him."

Crowley laughed as he noticed Sharumix, "Oh well isn't this a treat? My dear Marushi and a new inquisitor. For your information my dear, I have no interest in fighting you. For now my tests are completed and further study of progress is needed. Continue to grow my dear Marushi....pardon me, Sharumix. For when the time comes more than you are able to give will be required of you." He turned on his heel, grabbing up a rather odd pulsing red stone and pocketing it, "My buisness is concluded here."

 

Orias gripped her by the shoulders. "Hey, listen," he said, "We'll get through this. I'll help you always ok?"

 

Sharumix blinked. She didn't really understand what he was saying. His tests were completed? More study of progress was needed? And what did he mean about her being required to give more than was able to? She saw him pick up the red pulsing stone and pocket it. What was that all about? "Wait..." she said. She had to know about the visions. So many memories... How did she ask about something like this? Finally, she simply said "Tell me how I got Sora's memories."

OOC: Hey everybody! So starting this sunday, I'm going to be out of town with no internet access. I'll be back next Thursday, so please try not to get to far ahead. ;D Sorry to be cutting out like this!

Xenree brushed his hands off her shoulders, "I don't need any help. Never have and never will. This is my problem and I'm only telling you this is to warn you away from me." She turned away from him and headed further into town, "I have a job to do Orias. And this job requires me to do things that you disapprove of."

Crowley flinched only slightly at the mention of Sora's name. "I wouldn't know what you mean, my child. Memories are memories....things that can be created and made." He didn't turn around to see her so she couldn't see his smile. Perfection.... he thought.

 

"fine then," Orias told her, "i'll see you when your back again."

 

Xenree turned her head, "Orias.... I would I like to come back...I really would." She started again into the city.

 

I can't let her go! It's now or never! Before he could stop himself, Orias went after Xenree, turned her around, and kissed her.

 

Xenree froze, her silver eyes wide with shock. Eventually she shut her eyes and kissed him back. A tingling sensation settled under her skin. She pulled away gently, finally breathing again and removed her hands from their place on his back. She searched his face frantically. "Why....Orias....I didn't know..." The place where her heart was heated until she felt like it had been replaced by a piece of molten lava and she clutched at it, dropping to her knees. Xenree panted through the pain as she knelt at Orias' feet.

 

"I bet you do know what I mean, and I'm not your 'Child'," Sharumix said sharply. "And I know for a fact that I didn't create these memories: correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I stole them." She thought back over all the memories, not only those of Sora, but of his friends as well. And, not to mention Sora's Nobodies, Roxas and Xion. She had their memories, and she was not a hundred years old. Or was she? In fact, she wasn't even certain how old she actually was. For all she knew, she might be a hundred years old or only a few weeks. What had happened? Had Crowley really made her? If so, then how had she become a Nobody? Nothing made sense anymore.

 

Crowley grinned, hiding his smile he turned to face Sharumix, "I know the look in your eyes....don't let them overcome you my dear. They'll drive you insane and then...I'll have to start again." he chuckled, "And with my limited time...I can't afford to start again." Crowley approached her slowly, "'You will pay for what you've done.' Do you remember those words?"


As soon as Crowley spoke those words, another vision entered Sharumix's head. This time of herself back to back with Crowley. She turned rapidly and a Keyblade extended from her hand and she nearly shouted the same words, "You will pay for what you've done!" Crowley laughed and grabbed her Keyblade in his hand. "What I've done? No...I pay for nothing. That's what I have Her for...she will pay for my mistakes and that might just include you." his hand tightened on the Keyblade and finally snapped it in half. Sharumix's face turned from anger to fear and pure heart-breaking shock. "NO!" The vision ended.

 

Sharumix gasped in shock as the vision ended. Huh. You'd think she'd be used to having unpleasant memories forced on her by even more unpleasant men. But maybe that was something even a Nobody never got used to. She looked up at Crowley, angry and extremely curious. "I do remember," she said. "But, I don't remember why I said it. What had you done that made me so angry? She closed her eyes, still seeing Crowley snapping her keyblade in half. How could a mere man do that much damage to a Keyblade? Oh, yes. She was a sham, so her keyblade must also be fake. Still, she didn't like to think about it breaking. It made her feel powerless. But, if it had broken, why was it whole now? She looked down at her keyblade, still in her hand, and remembered the other thing he had said. "...She will pay for my mistakes, and that might just include you." "So I was a mistake, huh" she said. "And who did you mean when you said "Her"? Were you talking about Xenree? Is that what she's doing? Paying off some sort of debt?"

 

Crowley smiled freely and shook his head slowly, "It's good to see your wits are still as quick as ever my dear. Soon....all your answers will be given to you. If you wish for something more...go as Xenree herself. She is, in fact, the one I mean. I will give you one answer today...the rest you must fight Xenree for." He waited for her question, "Choose wisely...it might be the last question you will ever ask."

 

One question? Hmm. This required some thinking. She reflected for a moment, trying to decide which question was most important, what she wanted the answer to most. Finally, she decided on one. "Why..." she wasn't sure how to phrase this right. It wasn't the kind of question most people asked on a day-to-day basis. "Why did you create me?" She said. She looked up into his face, defiant yet oddly calm.

 

Crowley smiled, his yellow eyes staring down at her almost in a fatherly kind of way, "To take what makes Him powerful and weaken Him so my job is easier." his words were cryptic and yet he considered the question answered.

 

Well, that was helpful, She thought. His answer was a riddle, one that she wasn't sure she would be able to break until she knew more, which, it was pretty safe to say, she wouldn't get out of Crowley right now. Oh well.Maybe I should just be glad we're still alive. And it looks like Orias got away, even if Xenree's under Crowley's control. Oh yeah, Xenree. Maybe she knew something more about how Sora's memories and the memories of those connected to him had found themselves in Her head. Crowley had said something to imply so, although she wasn't sure if she could really take him at his word. Well, there was no reason why she couldn't ask Xenree. "Come on, Hogsan." She said, turning to walk to a different part of town. She would have to explain everything to him, even if she dreaded the upcoming task, and she didn't want Crowley to hear. Call her childish, but that's how it was.

Crowley laughed and disappeared into a dark corridor. Xenree my dear... he noticed a flare of energy surging through Xenree and redirected his corridor toward her, Xenree! Don't you dare yeild to the light!

 

Orias kneeled next to Xenree. He had finally gotten the guts to kiss her. "Xenree? You ok?"

 

Xenree's body shook against the force that was ravaging her body from the inside. Darkness wavered in lines on the ground radiating from underneath her and light sparked off her in small electric bursts. "Ahhh! Stop it!" she screamed in pain.

Crowley's dark corridor opened near Orias and Xenree. He ran from the dark door and shoved Orias away from Xenree, "Xenree! Darkness and Light return to your solid forms. Restore balance to this child for the time being!" A wave of purple darkness came from Crowley's hand and absorbed into Xenree. After a few minutes, the light and darkness solidified into two seperate orbs and Xenree fell forward onto the ground.

 

"Xenree? Xenree!" Orias ran up to Xenree and picked her up. "Xenree please!"
