Remnants of The Wielders

Sharumix was about to respond to Vincent when Orias took off after Xenree again. She looked at Vincent almost apoligetically before she followed him. Gol-ly, what am I, the babysitter? She thought. Why was she even chasing him? She stopped when she caught up and heard Xenree's response. Like she didn't even know Orias. She didn't know how to cope with that, and waited for Orias to speak. As she waited she thought about what Vincent had said. Crowley was a tinkerer beyond human comprehension? Well, that explained it. Wait, that explained what? For an instant, a single moment, she thought she remembered. Remembered what, she didn't know. She just... remembered. But it was gone now.

 

Oh, she's in there somewhere alright Orias turned and gave Marushi a small signal for her to go back to the others. "Xenree, what's up with your eyes? They seem dull. Are you ok?" Orias asked his old friend

 

Xenree scowled, "You find something wrong with my eyes?! I find something wrong with your heart!" Her Keyblade, Dark Void, flashed to her hand from a cloud of darkness and she took Riku's old pose when he fought. "It's too bright for my eyes and I'd rather destroy it than let your light devour my darkness!"

Crowley watched from a distance. He knew Xenree was having troubles with her memory now that she was a Nobody. But even more concerning was Sharumix....A smile twitched the corners of his mouth up but nothing more.

 

Sharumix saw Orias's signal, but she wasn't going anywhere. As annoying as it was to follow him around, she had no reason to go back to Vincent. She had just met him a few moments ago, and besides, she was curious to see how this confrontation between Orias and Xenree turned out. Would they start fighting again? If they did, she would have to be there to help Orias. Xenree was by far the greater fighter, even if Orias had more heart. Something was off, though. She looked around, there was something going on, although she couldn't see what. It made her nervous, and she quietly summoned her keyblade, watching, and waiting for something to happen. The handle of her keyblade in her hand triggered an emotion. No, it triggered a feeling somewhere deep inside her. An image flitted across her mind, just a picture in her head. It was a keyblade, just a normal keyblade, and it was flying through the sky. No, falling. It was falling through the sky. It must have been thrown or something. It hit the ground and stuck into the stone floor, the dark sky behind it. As the memory faded and she waited near Orias and Xenree, one word echoed in her mind. Sham...

 

A voice echoed in Sharumix's head, True....a sham of a Keyblade. Just as you are a sham of a person....just like Xion. How pathetic that even you are unable to complete your purpose. Crowley's image flitted through her head, a small smirk on his face and suddenly Sharumix could see Crowley standing on top of a building in the distance. He simply stood there.

ooc: god-modded for plot purpose. It was alright with Marushi. We talked about it.

 

Sharumix went white and her keyblade clattered to the floor. She turned to where she had seen him in her head, and sure enough, there he was, smiling cruelly. She wanted to warn Orias that Crowley was there watching, but nothing came out of her mouth. Her keyblade on the floor dissapeared and she started to walk slowly toward the building he was standing on. As she got closer, a feeling of fear spread through her. But, I thought I couldn't feel anymore. It must have something to do with Crowley. Or maybe it was the memories coming back. Xion... She remembered now. Xion was a puppet. Just as you are a sham of a person... Just like Xion. She was pretty sure that thought hadn't come from her head. Where had it come from? Had it come from Him? She looked up at Crowley again, the feeling getting stronger. She had to get away. She had to get away from him. She shook her head, and the memories dispersed. She turned back towards Orias and Xenree, and walked slowly towards them. She felt like she was coming out of a fog, and she was still pale.

Crowley grinned more so now that he had a reaction from Sharumix. He wanted to test her. Push her to her limits and see what destruction he could worm from her. Like he'd done Xenree. A test of power and will and Xenree had passed with flying colors. Would Sharumix do the same? Or would she betray him? Only one way to find out.... Xenree...turn your attention to Sharumix. Force her to submit and Orias will be enraged...just how you want him. Test their limits! The order was given.

Xenree nodded once and her silver eyes slid to Sharumix. She ran and leapt over Orias, gaining a lot of distance over him and landing closer to Sharumix. "To the limit..." she repeated. Her Keyblade charging a dark orb of power and launching it at Sharumix.

 

With a gasp, Sharumix summoned her keyblade and defended herself from Xenree's dark fire. Then, her startled expression was replaced with determination and she rushed forward to attack.

 

Xenree kept her distance for a while. Shooting more of the same orbs of dark power at Sharumix. Xenree didn't know it but each orb drew on her energy she didn't have to spare. It stole from her life force.

 

Sharumix dodged some orbs and deflected some, all the while running at Xenree. "Stop running and fight," she said.

 

A small pant escaped her lips as her heel skidded on the ground and she came to a stop. Her eyes assessing Sharumix as she approached. Xenree's Keyblade came up and clashed with Sharumix. She pushed hard on her blade, trying to force Sharumix's blade to the ground.

 

Sharumix let her keyblade be pushed to the ground and then brought it back in a circle and swung it at Xenree.

 

Sharumix's Keyblade cut a line across Xenree's cheekbone, drawing a thin line of blood. A small smile spread across her lips and Xenree punched Sharumix in the face.

 

"Ah!" Sharumix stumbled back a few steps. She hadn't expected Xenree to hit her. But she was back on her game in no time, and she lunged at Xenree again to attack. "Cheater!" she smiled, always amazed at Xenree's skill.

 

Xenree dove and rolled out of the way of Sharumix's lunge. Her boot came whirling around as she turned to kick Sharumix in the back.

 

Expecting the attack this time, Sharumix ducked and brought her keyblade in a wide circle, intending to get her right through the stomach.

 

Xenree kept going and kept her Keyblade close to her body, connecting with Sharumix's intended attack. It was an awkward position but she'd been in worse. Xenree snarled in her face and dark energy released from Xenree's body in a gale force meant to push Sharumix and Orias away from her.

 

Sharumix jumped back and held her keyblade up in defense against Xenree's dark wind. It still pushed her backwards, but before she could attack again, another picture formed in her mind. She was standing, keyblade in hand, during a pause in the fight. The sunlight shone a thousand different colors through the window behind her, and in front of her was a young man, also breathing hard from fighting. They rushed at each other and their keyblades met. Sharumix blinked her eyes and was back in Hollow Bastion, and Xenree was in front of her, not Terra. Terra...How do I know that name? Who was he, and how did she know him? She felt a little groggy and confused."Terra," she said. Wait, that was the wrong name. She shook her head again, trying to wake up. "I mean, Xenree. We shouldn't be fighting like this. We're friends, don't you remember?" She didn't really expect Xenree to stop fighting, but it was worth a shot.

 

Xenree rushed toward Sharumix and sliced at her with Dark Void's wicked sharp edge. "Unfortunately...I don't!" she snarled.

Crowley frowned at Sharumix's hesitation again. Could it be possible that she was experiencing someone else's memories? Surely she didn't remember anything from her own past. As he thought that Sharumix experienced a vision. A flash of red covered Sharumix's vision and then she saw a younger version of Crowley frowning over a hunk of red and black. He knew she'd ask so he spoke before she could open her mouth, "This is what remains of a poor soul that had the unfortunate opportunity to fight with his opposite and lost. This is what happens when you lose Marushi. Remember that. You must never lose. Unless you want your body to be torn apart." Crowley glanced over at her with his golden eyes and actually smiled gently. The vision ended and Xenree's attack was closer.

 

Hogsan was still with Vincent and Zack, Feeling bored and somewhat angry. Do they think I'm going to run after them. He thought. I'm not a babysitter. I don't even know why I'm here or who these people are. Hogsan turned in the direction that Xenree and Sharumix and Orias had ran off to and sighed. I probably should go after them. What if Orias became a..... What was that word they called Marushi.... Ah yes, Nobody. What if Orias became a Nobody too? What if they all joined that creepy guy and left me standing here forever? Hogsan started to walk away. He glanced at Vincent and Zack (Well they won't miss me. He thought.) Before sprinting after them.
