Remnants of The Wielders

"Alright." Marushi continued to fight the heartless, again staying close to Orias. But this time, she wasn't going to get distracted... or distract anyone else.

 

Hogsan smile never left his face as he fought the heartless. Everyone was okay. But the trouble wasn't over. A few neo shadows disapeard and Hogsan found himself wondering why he had to get involved in the first place. He wished the heartless would just go away already.

 

Marushi spun around on one leg, extending her keyblade and taking out several heartless in one swoop. Then, at the completion of the turn, she held her keyblade above her head. A small explosion of light erupted from the tip and enveloped the surrounding heartless, destroying them.

 

"That was cool, Marushi. Nice work." Hogsan slashed at a couple of dusks then turned to take on a few large bodys. "What exactly are these things?" he said out loud.

 

Xenree laughed as she listened, "Neo Shadows. Not exactly your typical Heartless, but they know their stuff." She watched with a sadness in her silver gaze. Xenree knew full well what she had to do.

 

The large bodies where pounding Orias so hard he was lying on the ground coughing up blood. "So this is it then?" He laughed. "As long as my friends survive." He closed his eyes and waited for it to come.

 

Marushi had promised herself she wouldn't get distracted, but when she heard Orias speak, she turned to look at him. She saw him, and she saw the heartless. One of the large bodies flew up into the air to attack, and Orias couldn't defend himself. All the fear from a moment ago rushed back into her being, though this time for him instead of Xenree. Without thinking, she rushed forward and pushed him out of the way, taking the attack herself. For a second, all she saw was black and she felt a searing pain surge through her. "As long as my friends survive," he had said. And it was true. She looked at Orias. She knew he would try to save her, but she also knew that nothing could. She didn't care. All that mattered was her friends were safe.

 

Hogsan rushed forward. He helped Orias to his feet and then turned to Marushi. "Cura, Cura!" Nothing was working. Maybe if he knew Curaga he could save her, but he was never very good at magic. "HELP!" He yelled toward Matt, Xenree and the others. But he knew Marushi was beyond help.

 

Orias opened his eyes, looked around, and blinked twice. Aren't I dead? he wondered. Wait a sec... 1 2 3.. Where's Marushi!? He looked around and saw Marushi on the ground. "Marushi!"He yelled. He gathered all his strength and went over to her. "Why did you do that!?" he asked as tears filled his eyes and he struggled to hold them back.

 

Xenree hobbled over to them, resting herself next to Marushi and touched her forehead, "She was trying to save you Orias. Marushi...." a small smile broke out on her face, "I'm proud of you." Xenree's silver eyes glowed as she looked down at Marushi.

 

Marushi looked at Xenree and Orias, and smiled weakly. "That's... That's what friends are for." Then, darkness. She was no more.

Opening her eyes, a young girl found herself alone in front of the clock tower. All her old memories came rushing back. It would have been saddening, but she then realized she couldn't feel sad at all. "Interesting," she thought. "I wonder what happened to me. I kind of expected to just... not be." She thought for a moment, then set out to head back to the mansion. She realized suddenly that she didn't feel anything about her friends. Not fear, anxiousness, she didn't even feel like she liked them particularly. But she still felt like she should help them. So, Sharumix (For that was her new name) began the walk back.

 

Orias couldnt contain himself, but he wasnt able to exactly cry."She died... to save me... She's gone... I cant believe it..."

 

Xenree knew exactly where she was. Darkness that clung to every new Nobody drifted to Xenree. Standing, Xenree turned even colder eyes toward her friends. Her energy had returned and now she moved with the liquid fluidness she had before. "She's not gone, persay. Orias....wait outside the mansion for her to return. I know she will. She's...well you'll find out soon enough." Xenree didn't move, she waited for him to leave.

 

Hogsan was mad. He was mad at Orias for making Marushi die for him, he was mad at Matt for not helping, at Xenree for never liking Marushi, and mad at himself for not being able to do anything to save her, and very mad at the world for the unfairness of it all. The tears would come later, but right now Hogsan was taking his feelings out on the heartless and the nobodys. Pretty soon all the heartless and Nobodies were gone. Hogsan's heart was still racing. The anger had not left him yet.

 

Orias sighed... "Whatever. I'll be outside.."He got up and left without another word

 

Xenree watched her friend leave and turned on her heel heading up the stairs. Her mind focused on her task. Leave....the darkness needs to be tampered. I need to experience what Riku did for a while....except...I do it right! She pushed open the door and scowled at the room with the half finished drawing on the table. She knew this drawing....finishing it herself, Xenree stepped back and watched the floor disappear. Might've killed me to fall through that, but whatever.... Xenree couldn't have felt more alone than if she'd killed her best friend now as she walked silently down the stairs and into the lab room.

 

"She's not gonna come."Orias said to himself. "Just stop waiting, she's gone and you know it"

 

This is how I'll protect my friends....this is for the good of all of them... she thought to herself and continued down the hallway.

 

OOC: Sorry I've been off for awhile. I was out of town for half a week and had no internet. But I'm back now!

IC: Sharumix reached the Mansion. Orias was waiting for her. She broke into a run before realizing that she wasn't really happy or excited to see him. When she went to him she smiled. They were still friends, right? Just because something strange had happened to her didn't mean she couldn't be friendly. "I'm back," she said. "How's everything?"

Orias saw Marushi. He rubbed his eyes. Then he did it again. It was her! "Marushi!" He hugged her very tightly."Dont ever do that again ok?" he asked her. "please?"
