Remember when they cancelled Toonami

I totally called this. Back in the thread we had on April fools day I said this...

Woah wait, that was Steve Blum? Now I know why it sounded so perfect for the character. The guy never goes wrong with his voice acting

 

I feel a bit sad because I don't feel the same excitement as you guys. So, it's coming back; so what? I never watched a lot of the Toonomi shows when it ran in the first place. I'm interested to see their line up though. If it's new anime, meaning that other good shows and voice actors are going to be exposed, then I'm all for it.

 

I liked it because it was just that thing that people made with the right shows in the right order. It might not have been as much of the program, but how they made it. But either way, it's still cool it's coming back. They've changed over the years, but I'm sure they'll do the right anime.....at least I hope so

ah nostalgia. Personally I'm more of a fan for the later looks, like when he was normal person sized, and he just sat in that chair and stuff. But the last year or stuff that they did, and they gave him a face and all that....I can do without that

 

Hmmmm.....there better be good animes. Not Bobobo shiet or Naruto. Well, maybe some of the new Naruto.

 

Naruto/Naruto Shippuden I can take, but no Bobobo, for crying out loud no Bobobo. The name alone way annoying, and the anime made no sense at all

so what do you guys think would be a good line-up for this toonami? I think they should put Gurren Lagann on, since so many people miss out on that show.

 

I always thought that if a channel did something like Toonami, one that would be really good would be Fairy Tail. It would be interesting if AS gave Death Note another chance with it too.

 

not too sure about Death Note, but yeah, it might be interesting to see Fairy Tail on tv. I finished it all, but seeing it officially on a screen might not be so bad. They should definitely move Bleach from later onto Toonami though. They should also play something older, like Trinity Blood, or even Yuyu Hakusho

 

Dare I suggest Funimation One Piece?

 

I'm not too sure about bring back the old stuff. I mean, for that demographic, it's good, but we're dealing with a new crowd who may have different tastes in anime. I like to think that Toonami was used to expose anime to a much wider audience. To do so, it'd be important to showcase the good stuff that is out today. They can show old stuff, but they should look mainly at new stuff that can sell (which, I think for Toonami is shonen anime).

In my opinion they should have a mix of old and new. Some to appeal new fans and some old for the old fans. Only having new content would only alienate the older fans.

 

I wish I had TV just so I could watch this. Cable, why are you so expensive and so worthless a majority of the time?
