By buying one part at a time over the course of several months. I'll probably start with the monitor.

Looks good to me, although I'd personally rather have an Intel processor.

Eh, I tend to fall victim to brand loyalty when it comes to AMD. It's nothing against Intel, I just prefer AMD for gaming.

I don't really get involved in the Intel/AMD brand loyalty business but I just tend to buy AMD because it's cheaper. I'm poor. ;c

But it looks good! 16GB is... kind of overkill, but I suppose you won't be upgrading the RAM anytime soon with that, hah. Enjoy it.

There's no kill like overkill, you know.

I was about to say only 120 GB is way too little storage, then I saw the 3 TB under it...

And as Misty said, 16 GB of RAM isn't really necessary. Every game and program I've used runs perfectly at 8, but whatevs

    A job.

Like I said, there's no kill like overkill, and I tend to run lots of programs at once anyway. It's a bad habit, but I'm not ready to deal with it yet.

I would personally get an Intel i7 2600k instead. I would also get a better monitor if I were you. That monitor is 20" with a 1600x900 native resolution. Get a 22" or a 24" with a 1920x1080 native resolution and you'll really start to see what that card is capable of. I'm not really sure what kind of budget you're on and what you need as far as hard drive space, but you could get a 1tb hard drive and save a little bit of money. Totally up to you though.

Still though, you'll never really need more than 8gb of RAM. I use Pro Tools and I still never have issues. Ever.
