"Even as you say that the city continues to be destroyed, screams still echo out, is this really a regret message?"

 

Kio looks at Vash. "I've got to blend in with them, haven't I?"

 

"Talking to the enemy counts as blending in? If you can't take the killing anymore, why don't you just leave?"

 

Kio puts his hands in his pockets and tilts his head at Vash. "But I'm working on stopping Vincent. I'm doing what I do best: I'm making his plan backfire."

 

"Alright then, one more thing, why is it we need help? We could be out of the city by now."

 

Kio walks towards the exit. "Because, I know the last place Vincent will look. It'll be a good place for Reiji to heal."

 

Reiji looks silently at Vash and Kio "....."

 

Kio starts to lead the others out of the city as the screams fade and the buildings crumble.

 

Vash sighed "any place is better than in the middle of the rubble plies I guess..." He followed Kio, still carring Reiji with him.

 

Reiji closes his eyes, trying to ignore the pain.


Vincent appears in the city looking at the spilled blood everywhere. Yuk,i where are you?

 

Kio leads them all to a strange house, a few miles outside the city and walks into it. "In here..."

 

"Where...is this?" Vash examined the house, still somewhat suspicious

 

Kio steps to the side of the small building. "An old shack. Here..." He reaches down and opens a trap door leading a ways down. "In here, you'll be safe, I promise."

 

Rikku ran in the house first "What's in here?"

Yuki, who was standing behind Vincent, tapped him on the shoulder.

 

Vincent twists around grabbing yuki " hey, where have you been..?" he says , smiling at her.

 

"You know, here and there" Yuki smiled back coldly.

 

Kio points them to the doorway in the floor. "You need to hurry. I've got to get back to Vincent..."

 

Vincent looks at Yuki, "I've been told you've been cheating on me.." He says darkly.

 

Yuki looked at Vincent with confusion "What are you talking about?"
