If she was forced to admit it, she would have to say that Arizona had startled her. Only under intense torture would she do so however. She mamanged to keep herself from jumping and turned to face him. "Not much. just wondering what took you two so long. You especially Arizona." A wicked smile curled across her face, although he couldn't see it behind her helmet. "I honestly thought you were faster than snail's pace." Another burst of speed and suddenly, Arizona was leaning on air.

"What do you mean me especially? I got here before he di- It was then she sped out from underneath him Damnit! Was all he could say before he went down. He quickly got back on his feet and looked around, Hoping No one but Nevada, who was unnavoidable, saw that. He cleared his throat before turning to where she ended up. "So um...Mission. Important stuff. Shall we?"

Nevada held back a snicker, knowing she had embarrassed him enough. "Of course." Graciously, she gestured in the direction of the ship. "After you."

Walking toward the ship, Arizona thought about the mission they were to undertake. It was three of them against god knows how many. If something went wrong, they'd either be killed, or captured and tortured. Eh. No worries. They had it in the bag. Once he'd reached the ship, he sat down across from the girl who'd undoubtedly sped ahead of him.

Nevada sat down mere moments beofre Arizona entered the ship. In all fairness, ahe had waited until he was three-quarters of the way there before she had gotten impatient. She cracked open a book she kept in a compartment on her calf: not many people aim for the calf unless they're looking to disable. It was a good one, lots of humour, action and just enough romance to keep the soppier of the female audience happy. After a few moments though, she closed it and put it away. She didn't get pre-mission jitters, too many missions for that, but she had a tendancy to be unable to focus on anything until the mission was over.

Where was Washington anyways? The sooner he got here, the sooner they could leave, finish the mission and she would finally be able to find out what happens next.

Washington soon followed behind Arizona in taking a seat. "Now we should be able to go." He said quietly to himself as he leaned back slightly in his chair.

"Here we go. Now that every one is here, we can get this show on the road. He said. Leaning back in his chair, he relaxed with his hands behind his head and waited for the ship to take off.

Mark started murmuring to himself when neither Church nor Tucker responded, and went out to the back of the base to do some target practice... aiming for the center of the 'O' in the words 'Tucker's Rock'.

"He's right." Sarge said, nodding at Pvt. Ignis's explanation. "And with the things I got planned for that thing, it's gonna need all the right it can get, hehe."
He led the pair out of the base again, since the 'tour' was completely over by now, and walked up to the Warthog that was parked up a short distance away. He patted it affectionately, before he looked back at the other two recruits.
"Well, if we ain't got anything, let's go through some of them myth-e-o-logical creatures. Like Wildebeast, or Pelican..."

"Headlight fluid?" Tucker responded, looking at Mark. "Oh right. We don't know either. We just made it up to get Caboose out of the way, but we didn't expect him to actually believe us."
Of course, by the time anybody had actually said anything, Mark had apparently wandered off and begun to shoot at the rock that Tucker had claimed.
"Hey, not cool man!" he said, pushing the barrel of the weapon somewhere else. "Don't shoot a guy's rock, I need that for... stuff."

The ship, now carrying all three agents that were going on the mission, lifted off of the ground, and quickly headed towards it's destination.
After just a minute in the air, the comm system in each of their helmets began to get a broadcast from the Director, apparently ready to explain the mission.
"I apologise for keeping you all waiting." he said, sounding as though he was perhaps smoking a cigar or something as he spoke. "But time happens to be of the essence for this mission."
There was a short pause, perhaps he was lighting said cigar, or perhaps it was merely for dramatic effect. Either way, he soon continued.
"Y'see, it is true that there were suspicions of Mgalekgolo infiltrators, but the evidence was far too late in coming. By the time the local forces knew what was happening, said infiltrators already had complete control of a former military base there. That alone would not be too problematic, however. The real threat is what the facility contains. It's an old Freelancer facility, and may still contain very sensitive information. If such information were to get back to Covenant forces... well, you can imagine the chaos it would cause."

Pvt. Pools liked Sarge's way of thinking. He also liked the way he said Mythological.
    "How about...Gryphon?"

"Don't those things fly? The jeep can't. Yet." Sarge said, rejecting that proposal. "Something that lives on the ground, has four legs... What's the name of that Mexican lizard thing? Eats all the goats."

"Yeah, that." he said, looking over at the jeep and thinking for a moment. "Chupathingy. I like it. Got a ring to it."

OOC: Griff and Simmons came up with 'headlight fluid' to get Doughnut to go away... not Church and Tucker
Mark turns his head to gaze on Tucker, "'stuff?' It looks like a perfect target to me... do you guys have any rocket launchers on base? This'd be perfect for demolitions training."

"Check... one Chubathingy... though it looks a bit more like a Walrus, Sir..." Ignis added, miming writting down a note on his palm.

Nevada activated her microphone, making sure it was set so only the Director and the other two agents could hear her. She wouldn't want this broadcasted to the entire ship and was sure the Director was doing the same on his end. "I can see why that would be a problem Sir. How do you want us to proceed?"

Mark turns his reflective blue visor toward Tucker, "Well, I'm going to go blow it up anyway," he says. Mark then turns and strides back into the base to look for a rocket launcher... or anything else explosive.

"Are you going to have use retrieve the information or destroy it?" Washington as he still reclined in his chair.

"So all we gotta do is retake the base then retrieve/destroy the info on freelancers? Cakewalk." Arizona said in a very lax manner, even though it would surely be no cakewalk, he was rather confident in his skills. Underneath his helmet, he closed his eyes, apparently about to take a nap on the way to their destination. Although he somewhat kept an ear open to listen if there was more to the mission.

Caboose was standing next to Tucker suddenly with nobody having noticed his arrival. "Gonna blow what up?" he spoke randomly, almost like he had never left. Which could have clearly been the case as he was empty handed, with no trace of any headlight fluid or anything along those lines. "I hope he's not gonna accidentally blow up Church again. That'd be bad. I know that. ...Sorta."
The fact he had been gone for pretty much more than a week didn't even phase him. Yup... it was like he never left.

Tucker jerked suddenly in shock at Caboose's sudden reappearance, wide-eyed, though nobody would see that much behind the helmet.
"Caboose, where the hell have you been?" he asked, before realising he didn't actually care. "And where the hell are my weapons?"

"Retrieval is preferable, which is why we haven't simply launched a nuclear strike on the area." The director informed them.
"However, should things go awry, collateral damage is authorised. The information could eventually be replicated, though it could take a very long time, but we can't undo the Covenant aquiring such information."

The comm system switched off, as the pilot then spoke over the ship's intercom.
"We should now be directly above the main entrance of the facility." he said, the ship now being motionless in the air. "I'm opening the back hatch."
Sure enough, the hatch slowly descended, opening onto the thin air that filled the skies around the city. Below was a small-ish skyscraper, which would have been considered a large one if not for the fact that most of the others in the area were twice it's height. The sheer scale of cities was sometimes borderline ridiculous.
