And that's exactly what I hate.

Like I told you before, I don't look into it for those reasons. :P

    Love is not real.
Love was used many centruies ago in europe when people only married because their parents told them to. When Kings and Quenns married people had to trust their spouse for political reasons, this is when love was invented. It changed over the years until it affected the public and the rest is history.
When you feel warm when your *love* is close is called being nervous.
The only reason we *love* is to find an appropriate mate where you will have to reproduce.

I'm not going to say blatantly that I agree or disagree with anyone in this thread. I don't want conflict. I'm just going to express my beliefs.

Love is a mutual feeling between two people who are compatible with one another through interest, personality, or anything not on the surface. Believe me, and I'm not trying to brag, I've felt fake love and real love. They just feel different to me. The love between my first boyfriend and I was completely fake. He only "loved" me to show me off to his guy friends. My current boyfriend and I are in real love. The kind that never goes away. At least, I hope it is. Another thing that I think gets in the way of love a lot, too, is insecurity. I'm suffering a lot with that lately.

And, not to throw religion in the mix, and no offense to anyone that isn't a Christian, but the most ultimate form of love is the love that God has for all humanity.

That's exactly what happened to me. I had a crush on girl in my class and she had glasses. All my friends wondered why I liked her. She wasn't the prettiest girl in my class. But I liked her for her personality. Of course, I got crushed in the end when I found out she had a crush on the jock. There's always hope for next year, though!

I can tell it's hormones and obsession when I look at someone and just think they are the coolest thing in the universe and they are perfect in their way for who they are. I can also tell its hormones when someone tells me to get lost and I get really annoyed or upset and I don't even really know that person that well so why am I bothering with that?

I can tell it's love when I see the faults, they sometimes frustrate me, we get in some disputes, and yet I can say I still respect and want to be with that person and those faults are part of what makes that person that person. Also, I can tell that person feels mutually the same way, because if they don't, well it's not anything either. When in love, also there's a confidence I feel I have and I'm not clingy or desperate. I trust and can relax with things and enjoy the time we have together.

I always viewed love to be something that doesn't involve you and your hands alone in the toilet.

    >.>

Seriously though. As others said before me on and outside the forums, love is a feeling between two people through interest, personality, or the inner being. It is often mistaken for something else such as lust and a need for perhaps to not be alone. I think when you are in love with someone, you must question yourself why you love them and be honest. It's not true love if you go for example:

Q; So why do you love your girlfriend?

A; Because she's freaking hot! Oh yeah. I can't wait for that day when we...

...and so on. That's not love. Love is when you want to be with someone and you love them for who they are. Their personality. Their morals. And so on.

    Well said, Repliku, as usual.

You're right, love isn't just looking at someone, and then suddenly 'loving' them. I don't think you can truly love someone if you've just seen them, or known them for a short period of time. You can't love someone and no nothing about them. And, as you said also, when you're in love you're not clingy or/and desperate. You have to feel confident, relaxed, and respect the person you enjoy spending so much time with.
