Hearing Grey talk to her, Angel turned around and walked up beside Ryou. She used sign language to explain, 'But I am not a l'Cie. I wouldn't stand a chance against you.' Turning to Ryou, she said, 'I'll be in the back, supporting you. But I won't doing any fighting, because this is your fight, Ryou.' She knew there would be no way for her to fight against a l'Cie, but she could support Ryou from behind if he needed it. Angel moved behind Ryou, still pulling her rod and standing ready for battle.

 

Ren stared after Akira as she rose up with Bahamut, into the clouds where he couldn't see her anymore.
He was pretty much speechless. It wasn't every day that a girl was dragged into the sky by a giant dragon while in the middle of a fight.

She looked at them both with mild suspicion. The other prisoner had accepted the offer, whatever it actually was, but there was no real proof that he wasn't already working with them, an actor or plant that was there simply to make her let her guard down.
But what other choice was there? After her stunt the security would probably be increased, and it'd be impossible to get to either another ship or the elevator without setting off a hundred different alarms.
She decided.
"I don't know what you're thinking of, but I'll go along with it for now." she told the illustrious leader. "But don't be too surprised when I survive whatever suicide mission you plan for us. There's only one person I'd die for, and you sure aren't her."

Ryou's ears heard Grey telling him was taking the fastest path to his goal as the man's woman was ina dull shade of gold, it was obivous he used I'Cie magic as Ryou quietly shifted in Ravager, he didn't have any buffing magic so he tapped the hilt of his sword one, coating it a red glow. Grey had a bit more of a advantage but if there's one thing he learnt from training, it's what Lightning said during the training sessions. "It's not a question of can or can't." her voice echoed in his head

"You are just looking to become stronger, what next? Are you going after the others?" Ryou asked him and he knew the answer already, Grey wasn't looking for a conversation as fellow trainees, no he was looking to as he said, 'master fate itself'

"Then we have nothing further to say." He said and with one quick movement, flung a Fire at Grey, knowing he'll most likely avoid it or cut through it with little resistance and charged forward, his brown cloak following behind him with air resistence.

Ryou saw the sword change form and immediately as he pulled out his sword from under his cloak and quickly dived to the side, narrowingly avoid the whip and rolled, firing off a Aero to divert Lancet's course as his shifted into Commando, pulling out his gun as he fired a few rounds while tapping the hilt of his blade with one finger as it was coated in flame and he ran forward once more.

"Don't lose track of that weapon." he thought to himself, Grey wasn't certainly holding any punches back and so in retrospect, neither should he.

Kross disliked the Cavalry to some extent, not anywhere towards hatred and resentment, it was more of a dislike or distrust. He quietly listened to what Argent had to say. It wouldn't be easy believing the leader of the Cavalry. Then Hope's name came up, his brows raised slowly."Hope..? I'm merely acquainted with him..I do not know him personally."He said, frowning and crossed his arms."I'll follow through with this for now.."He murmured gently.

 

Much time passed from then until now. As Omega was watching the battles transpire, he cross-referenced the Eidolons as they made their appearance to his own database. "So in total now, there's Ifrit, another Bahamut, Alexander, Odin, and Belias of all people. Wow, I never thought I'd see him again. Especially not here. Okay, now onto Caius..." One of the side screens contained a still frame of Caius from his battle with Grey. In the shot, he was enveloped in massive amounts of chaotic energy and could barely be seen due to the Incarnate Summoning. Only a glowing red eye could be clearly seen shining through it. The image became enlarged and was projected onto the main screen.

He stared at the screen for a moment. "I've been meaning to talk to you, but your so hard to track down these days. So I see that you're still wandering Gran Pulse. I wonder, how is Yeul these days? Still dying like usual?" He quietly chuckled to himself. Knowing Caius, he'd probably take off Omega's head for making a joke out of that. Even so, he found it humorous enough.

Shinryu finally walked out of the closet in his new outfit after trying on almost everything that fit him. "Shin, when you're done, get up here to the sixth floor." He headed for the stairs. A large castle in an even larger, deserted city. And this is supposed to be an Ark? Where's the training ground for l'Cie? Oddly enough, he was thinking this as he quickly ran past the fifth floor, which served as the main training ground.

The sixth floor was an odd place. It looked nothing like the rest of the castle and was startlingly dark. The only light came from the central long table and the main computer Omega was at. He couldn't help notice the people and events on the holographic screens. On one side screen, that one guy on the four wheeler Gestalt (Leo was it?) was taking on that dark Crystal L'Cie with Lightning. Another showed Bahamut in mid-flight and mid-battle, probably in one of those Eidolon battles for dominance. Alexander and his summoner was in a third and a fight between two l'Cie was shown in a fourth. In the rest were various locales that were unknown to him. The most notable of the bunch was the high-tech metropolis. He didn't know the man in the image on the main screen -- if it was a man. It was a bit hard to tell with all of the dark energy surrounding him/her/it, but there was definitely a malevolent presence coming off from the subject.

 

Angel watched the fight in worry and awe, the combatants were both l'Cie, but one had betrayed his companions to gain more power, it seemed. Watching Ryou, Angel had never seen him so determined before, she had wished that she could meet the person who trained him and Twilight. Angel had her hands folded together and she watched the fight, hoping for Ryou to win.

Twilight kept her ground with Alexander's Gestalt mode as best as she could. She shouted as her Eidolon performed its attack, preparing for its ultimate attack, Divine Judgement while making sure it protected her companions, who were facing their problems, and preventing the Calvary from reaching them.

 

"Lightning. It flashes bright, then fades away. It can't protect. It only destroys."

Lightning jumped onto Odin's back dashing towards Leo, slicing her blade through the Flare spell. After years of withstanding fal'Cie attacks and fighting Cid Raines, she was pretty sure it would take much more than that to knock her off her feet. "Leo!" Flinging a Razor Gale towards Linegea, Lightning wedged Odin in between Leo and the Crystal l'Cie. "Be my shield!" Using Ullr's Shield, Light healed Leo, Belias and herself, casting Protect and Shell on them as well.

"Fear is somthing that consumes you. I must try to overcome my own fears."​

Akira and Bahamut broke free of the clouds and viewed space and all the twinkling stars. "It's so....beautiful. There is...something left in this world that's worth protecting, isn't there?" Bahamut didn't answer her, but she felt that it was agreeing with her. Fisting her hands against the cold, Akira glared at the clouds below them. "We have to help. No one would be down there fighting if I hadn't freaked out. I'm...not afraid anymore." Sharply turning, Akira grabbed hold of whatever she could as Bahamut made a sudden drop into the clouds. Standing and riding him like a surf board, Akira cried out with delight before being lifted up with the winds. Bahamut disappeared into the clouds and soon she could see the ground rushing up to meet her. "Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Catching Akira on it's back, Bahamut swooped low to the ground, emitting Focused Bolts on the Cavalry soldiers below. "Twilight, grab who you can and let's get a move on!"

 

OOC: Well...don't see any scenes where my character can jump in and whatnots ._.

Kross glanced up as the leader spoke, frowning at his words. His eyes turned to the screen, tensing at the flash a little. He paid attention to the captain's words, he was always a spacy young man. He glanced over to the leader and shook his head."I would never try to harm anyone else, neither intentionally nor unintentionally if I can help it."He said and looked directly at the man."..Once we make the stop by Hope's, I want to stop by the cemetary."He said calmly.

Ryou imeediately thrown up his gun in rapid movement, bringing up the cloak to cover his face to protect it from the dirt and with a quick fluid mothion, brought his sword against Grey's weapon, catching the gun that was brought it back down and move dthe projectile weapon closer to his face and fired a few rounds diretctly at hsi head as he used Sword field, two blue blades materializing at his waist to deal some dmage to Grey's body before jumping back to assess the situation.

 

Naivete and innocence. Such is the mind of youth.

"Ahh!" Leo was thrown backwards by Linegia and Lightning's clash. Beneath his helmet, his face was sweating profusely. The rest of his body felt as if it was on fire, though not from heat. The young l'Cie fell off of Belias and landed on his back, but he quickly rolled to his feet as soon as Lightning healed him. "Freakin' Cryst-" he grimaced, but his leg gave out and he fell to his knee.What? No. Was all he thought as he felt the Belias' helmet disappear from his face, turning to ash and blowing away in the wind. "Bel-Beli..." He couldn't even speak as his other leg gave in to the pain and he found himself on both his knees. "I...can't..." in front of him, he could see Belias turn to ash as the Eidolon's time was up. A few more minutes, please...A few more minutes and you can Raise me, he begged Belias mentally, but the Eidolon's Gestalt disappeared, leaving only Leo's Gunblade to fall to the ground with a clang. Once more, he tried to speak, "I...I ca-can't...I can't..." He could see Lightning and Linegia fighting, and he knew Cid was still fighting the others as well as Akira and Bahamut's clash...but there was no sound, just this incessant buzzing in his head. As the ground rushed to his face, Leo tried a final time, "I...can't..." And with that, his face hit the ground. Save you. Everything went black.

Cid grimaced. The feeling was gone, as was the Calvary, but he couldn't shake the memory of it...well, unless he tried. "Ah, insanity's getting the best of me," he decided. His body turned around to glance at the field. Another Eidolon? This could be a threat. Though Lightning was the obvious problem, he trusted Linegia to handle her. "Leave the kiddies to me," he told no one in particular as he opened his crystalline wings wide, "I can babysit them!" And with that, he launched himself towards Mia, his claw ready to attack.

Mya was so busy into the fights of everyone else that she didn't notice Cid charging at her until the last second which she barely manage to dodge by diving to the side, making a cut on her clothes. She then spun back onto her feet and started firing rounds at Cid. Man! At least give me a hoot before coming at me like that! She continued observing the fight with quick glances.

 

OOC: Lol seriously, one RP was bad enough.

Also...do I sense a Mortal Kombat reference? 8D

Ryou was kicked in the chest as he strained not to cough or lose wind before twisting the sword's hilt to block the blade coming to him and with one quick movement, released the struggle the two blades created, ducking as Grey's sword went over him and with his kneees bent down, dived forwards, rolling onto the ground, grabbing the discarded gun as he breathed for a few seconds as moumentum allows him to get back up.

"He's not pulling any punches... then!" Ryou did the most crazy thing he ever imagined, he charged foward at Grey and removed the cloak he wore, holding it firmly in his hand and thrown it at the man to block his vision, now his attire could be seen more clearly, if Gran Pulse or Cocoon had any pirate stories, this would perhaps be similar to that as he fired soem shots into the cloak as they went through the fabric to connect with Grey as he slammed his sword against Grey's once more and with a foot, kicked him in the stomach to send him back.

"Time to...make a show out of it!" He said and paidly gained ground onto Grey, his Sword Field still being active as he relentlessly clashed his sword with his foe and and just as Grey would be about to chain his weapon's form, he shot a bullet into it's mechinsim, jamming it effectively.

Cid spun midair, causing the rounds to bounce off of him. "Whatever you say, girlie!" He laughed as an orb of magic started to form in his hand. "Hoot!!" He yelled as he fired the Darkness towards the girl. "Hoot again!" He shot another Darkness at her and laughed as he did.
