Alice heard gunfire and blocked the bullets, smirking when she saw Lighting. "O might knight, Lighting Farron! How wonderful to see you come valiantly to help your apprentices! Here, have a gift from the March Hare and Mad Hatter! I will give the Queen of Hearts your head later with your companions later, Lighting! If that's alright with you!" Pulling out three arrows, she shot a trio of water covered arrow at Lighting, then dodged Twilight's attack from behind, she knocked her back and smiled.



"We're the ones you're facing, Alice!" Twilight shouted, changing into her Commando role, and ran to Alice. She sliced at Alice, using Lancet on her, she gave a small smile as she felt some of Alice's health flow into her, giving her new energy. She jumped back and twirled her spear, blocking Alice's demonic claw from attacking. "Alice, I have something to tell you. Be careful, or else if you lose, you will be fed to the Jabberwocky. And I'm sure you don't want that." Alice shot a trio of ice arrows at her and she dodged.

 

Naivete and innocence. Such is the mind of youth.

"Lightning!!" Leo yelled when he saw his master. As the Crystal l'Cie fired at Lightning and attacked Lightning. The young l'Cie narrowed his eyes and ran forward as his Gunblade became enveloped in electricity. "Twilight is right," he confirmed as lunged forward, swinging his Sparkstrike single-handedly at their foe. In his free hand, another Stone was forming. His Sparkstike was only a distraction and the moment Alice dodged or blocked it, he would release his Stone at point-blank range. I'll show you...I'll show you our resolve! "Jaden, double-team!!"

Cid nodded, but said nothing more. A twisted smile formed on his face, but his eyes showed no emotion. He gestured with his head for his partner to follow him and flapped his crystal wings, taking to the air.

Jaden let the force of the blow from his swords connecting with Alice's attack send him high up into the air. "Personally! Compared to me! The Mad Hatter looks sane!" he called back to her, as he watched the others and in particular Leo mount their own assaults on the Crystal L'cie. He was immediately on the move at Leo's request. Jaden had grown up in Oerba with these guys... his friends. He'd laughed with them, hunted with them, trained with them... their timing and trust were perfect. He and Leo knew each other. They could work together and adapt instantly. "On it, Leo!" he grinned as he fell back towards Alice at speed and changed his role to Ravager. Thus putting his and Leo's combined attack into the Dual-casting Paradigm. He closed in on Alice from the opposite side of Leo, pincering her and drawing her attention, while letting the speed of his fall increase the power of his attacks. His blades both charged with firestrike respectively, and him already innertly preparing and Aero for the second he landed and made contact. "BOOYA!"
His plan was on par with that of Leo's. Alice might be strong, but this would guarantee that at least one if not more of their attacks would be guaranteed hits. Their teamwork was perfect.

Lin took notice of Cid's expression as he took off flying. She too flapped hers with a graceful-ness that befit the small child, and followed after him without hesitation.

"I'm not letting war tear up my future, look what it did to my past."
He heard the fighting and rolled to the side, hiding behind a large rock and breathed in."I followed her to a war zone..that's my luck.."He said, frowning. He glanced to the side, noting the sheath by his side with the sword in it and the seal papers forbidding him to draw it."Until the right time..heh, wonder when that will be."He said, standing. He couldn't fight here so he made his way back to the field, dodging past behemoths and hoisted himself on a rock, sitting there and breathing out."Can't fight any of these..things." He frowned.

 

Alice screamed loudly when Leo and Jaden double teamed on her. She gasped for air, and shouted, "How dare you attack me like this! I'll be make sure to deliver all your bloodied heads to the Queen of Hearts and that your blood is made tea for the Mad Hatter and March Hare!!!!!" She pulled out her arrows and loaded her bow, shooting at Jaden and Leo, then casting Water and Ice on Twilight, Mya, and Akira, then sent a powerful wind spell to Lighting on Odin. Her face was growing more angry at the attacks.



Seeing her attacks focused on Lighting, Twilight took off in a sprint and attacked her from behind. Using Blitz on the Crystal l'Cie, Twilight blocked Alice's bow with her spear, taking a quick glance at the bandanna tied around her arm, she said a silent prayer and attacked her, she said, "Alice, you will be shown the power of a true hero!!!!! Though he's a crystal now and in eternal sleep, a real hero is with us in our hearts! So, now, I will personally escort you to the Jobberwocky!!!!!!" She slashed across Alice's dress with her spear, a determined look in her eyes.

 

Mya jumped back, avoiding her magic and constantly fired upon Alice. She hoped that she had her attention so the others would find an opening and strike her. Damn...she's not joking when she meant she wants our heads. She swapped to her Medic role and started healing her friends.

 

Without warning, Ren was suddenly between Jaden and Leo, and the Crystal l'Cie, in his Sentinel role. His arms raised before him, he glew with an aura of some kind as he let loose a might shout.
"STEELGUARD!"
The attack was reduced by a massive amount due to his actions, though it still hurt like hell. Luckily for him, the arrows had missed his knees, meaning his adventuring days were still fine.
"I'm the one you want." he said to Alice, glaring at her, and blatantly using Challenge as he took another step forward.

Hanging back for the time being so as not to get in the way, Byron drew his blades regardless, ready to take on Alice if she got too close.
Blow my cover and I'll gut you, Alice. he thought to himself, his teeth slightly gritted. He was begining to tire of people getting in his face, and if he was honest; he just didn't like Alice much even in better times.

OOC: Will post as Cyan... sometime when there's a little less action going on.

 

"You two are taking a personal trip to the Queen of Hearts!!! With your heads still attached, so the Queen can behead you!!!!!!" Alice shouted, attacking them viciously. Her claw arm swung at Ren, slashing at his body. She jumped back a distance and shot water covered arrows at Ren and Byron, she shouted, "I'm going to personally arrange a eternal tea party with the Mad Hatter and March Hare for you all!!!" She cast Ice on Ren and Byron.



Twilight stared at Alice's behavior, usually the Crystal l'Cie was childish, playful, annoying, and crazy. Now she had gone from crazy to simply insane and murderous, Twilight used on a Potion on herself as she watched Ren and Byron fighting the transformed Crystal l'Cie, touching the bandanna on her arm. "Ren!! Byron!!! Be careful, she's gotten more dangerous, provoke her any more and she will rip you to pieces!!!!!" She kept her hand on the bandanna, and prayed for safely for Bryon and Ren to survive against the murderous behavior of Alice.

 

Alice screamed when the ship fired the cannons. "Looks like the Calvary came to ruin our fun. We'll have to play later!" Alice jumped into the air and flew to Jenova.



Twilight looked around as the soldiers appeared, she groaned and calmly sheathed her spear onto her back. Touching her arm, she wondered what Snow would do at this moment and stood her ground. She glared at the soldiers, standing still.

 

She walked over to Twilight and have her a few more pulses of Cure before sheathing her guns. We really don't have much of a choice do we? We can't take down an army of this size. Even if we did...we would be seen as terrorists and shunned. She bit her lip. Dammit we can't give up either! What will they do? Keep us in until we become Cei'th?

 

"Lightning. It flashes bright, then fades away. It can't protect. It only destroys."

Lightning slashed apart the arrows and countered the wind spell with her own Ruinga. Charging non-stop through the line of Calvery soldiers, Light reared Odin about and lowered her gunblade to a soldier's face, "Argent! My students are no threat! We're here to take down Jenny, not to destroy the world. Leave them be!"

"Fear is somthing that consumes you. I must try to overcome my own fears."​

Akira's smile was short-lived as they were surrounded by Calvery soldiers and Light returned with a fierce temper burning. She'd never seen her riding Odin up close before. The huge beast snorted and Akira shifted her way closer to her companions. "Lightning... We can't fight anymore..."

 

"I prefer fighting fate head-on rather than be controlled by it."

Ryou had somehow managed to make it to the next town after Jenny abandoned him, somehow, that didn't surprise him in the slightest but hiding his brand wasn't exactly easy, espeically when his clothes were rather torn in a few places courtesy of monsters and used some fabric of his shirt to cover up the brand before entering the town,. ""Wouldn't want to cause a situation here, especially if that if that Cavalry coming after us I'Cie." He thought to himself rather cynically, happily, he managed to aqcuire some new clothes by selling raw animal materials and also decided to give himself a bit of hair style change to helpfully throw off any pursuers, but his nodachi was a problem.

"As much as it helps me defend myself, it's the last remainder of my family... if I break it, that's it." He thought solemnly, he didn't want to damage it any further and sheathed it away while in town and with soem leftover gil, bought a cutlass and a pistol in which the owner said was magically embued with the power to create endless bullets and with the help of the elder of the Village, he requested his nodachi be kept in his hands by explainign how much importance it was to him, the elder had agreed as he too, lost family and Ryou promised to return for it when he felt the time was right, so now, he was now abck in the outskirts, wearing a brown cloak with the hood up to cover his face as he tested his new weapon's capable abilites already on some native monsters.

"The sword weighs differently to what I'm used to but I'll get used to it." He said to himself and weighed the pistol he held in his left hand, it was a new sensation to him completely, he has seen Light use the gun function of the Blazefire Saber when backign away from a monster, it gave her time for ample room while attacking from a distance so she could plan her next move, it would help immensely by using that form of strategy since he had a habit of knocking on death's door, the first time by Cid taking a Runiga point blank and then Oerba's destruction by narrowingly escaping it.

"Wonder if the others are alright?" His thoughts pondered on his friends, he was the unfortnate one to be seperated from them all and he had no clue as to how to reach them except by using the Cavalry and he mentally facepalmed himself, he couldnt' exactly go abck to that village and say he's a I'Cie to get their attention, not after the Elder respected his wishes.

"Great going there Ryou..." he said sarscatically and sighed, he could go back to devastated Oerba or attract attention in the next town in hopes of getting the Cavalry's devoted attention, in the end, he decided on heading for the next town.

Without acknolwedging Lightning, Leo turned to face the Calvary's main ship. His eyes darted to each ship, but quickly returned to the Ixiom. "Damn it," he growled as he swung his Gunblade down, holding it tight. He raised his other hand to his chest and touched his brand as he shifted into Sentinel.

As Cid flew in the direction of Cocoon, he wondered if his own plan would work. However, before Cocoon even came into view, the sound of battle drew his attention. His head turned to the side. "Lin, follow me!" He sharply veered off-course while increasing speed. "Damn it to the lowest depths of Titan's molten ass!" He yelled as he saw the Calvary's forces surrounding the l'Cie. This would have been perfect...if they were shooting!! "Linny, give them some chaos!" He pointed to one of the smaller ships with his right hand and shot a barrage of dark magic from the distance.

Kross frowned, what kind of an idiot just follows a girl into a battle. He sighed, ruffling a hand through his hair, he didn't like this. He was far enough out of earshot to avoid detection, the last thing he wanted was to get dragged into the middle of all of that. His ebony eyes went over to his sword again. He frowned low, when can he pull it out? ..This wasn't the right time.

 

Looking around at the army approaching them, Byron swore under his breath.
If we die here, there's no hope of completing anyone's focus.
"Much as I hate to admit it," he said, relatively quietly, but loud enough for the other l'Cie to hear him. "We should probably run this time. We can't do anything if we're captured."

 

Twilight watched Jaden fall and tried to grab him, but she was too late and he fell over the edge. She did the only thing she decided to do, she jumped over the edge, following him silently. Twilight hoped the others would catch on and follow her example. Though she wasn't sure if they would be able to make it to the bottom, but Twilight looked at the bandanna on her arm, and thought of Snow, deciding to wait until they reached the bottom. She kept a hand on her spear, the Dragoon Lance, and fell beside Jaden, wondering if the others fell as well.



Angel had gotten lost somehow after she watched Twilight silently mourn over the destruction of her home, and went to go look for her. She sighed and saw a familiar shape, if she recalled correctly, it was Ryou. Angel almost didn't recognize him due to his new appearance, but she ran to him and touched his shoulder to get his attention. Hoping he could understand sign language, she told him, 'Hello, Ryou. It's me, Angel. Do you know where the others went? I'm looking for them.'

Ryou immediately turned around by the tap of the shoulder as he withdrawn his pistol, the barrel staring down in Angel's face, how she recongized him was beyond him but he lowered the weapon, seeing her do something with her hands, it was sign langauge and he had to hate that form of langauge, people were given voices and sound to be used, not taken away, sadly he didn't know how to create the right movements but he knew she could hear him.

"Got seperated during Oerba's...destruction." He said rather solemnly, he didn't know if he could put the sight of that image from his mind entirely and Angel too had no idea where the others went. "I don't know where they are but we'll eventually bump into them." He said before holstering his pistol.
