Kingdom Hearts II Re: CoM // Oogie Boogie boss battle

Hopefully I'm doing this right.

Anyway, I just started playing Re: CoM (it's a race between a friend and I, actually), and I waltzed into Halloween Town since that's what I did on the GBA version. But I'm having a lot of trouble with the Oogie Boogie boss, and I'm really confused on what to do.

Any tips/hints/suggestions?

 

Counter Oogie Boogie's card about 3 times and the gate falls...When the happens go up to him and attack

Attack the dice as well when you counter to try and get a special card that'll stun him a long time so you can cause a lot of damage

Just keep trying and trying

 

The quicker you counter his dice, the better the result.

But yeah, like KHMasterPK said, what you want to do is break the dice as quickly as you can. Eventually this will bring down the gate and you can attack Oogie. Every now and then, you will get a Mickey Card, use these immediately.
