Meh, didn't take too long, and I'm not even close to being finished yet, just wanna know what you think so far. V1 V2 Not too crazy about V2, but I'm just playing around with ideas.
Looks sweet, R&C is one of my favorite game series. cant wait to see what the final version looks like
I like how its going so far, Keep going and post the finished version. I can't really say much about it since for some reason the orange and green work together.

Not too keen on the brushes you've just added, partly because it sort've interrupts the flow. Maybe if you add a gradient to it and change the blending mode to overlay, you might come up with a cooler outcome(I dunno though, I'm just improvising here.) Not to mention that ratchet doesn't really blend well. It's incomplete though, and I'm sure you have that in mind anyway.
On the V2 the brushes don't work too well, either try a different brush or change the opacity on it. Just keep fiddling until you get something you like.
if you use GIMP, google/Photobucket/Deviantart a C4D Render find one that looks like i could make it like he is shooting the gun, or what ever it is, and paste it and set it to addition, and FG effects would be good to have in this too
I'm not liking the new effects, and although it's not finished and you may plan on it, I think that R & C should definitely be brighter.
i'm not really liking the background much on both of them and the ratchet render you used is a tad bit too dark, you you probably try duplicating that layer and setting the top one to overlay or something.
