This isn't for school or anything. I wrote this out of complete boredom. It's still untitled, and I'm almost finished with Chapter 2. Chapter 1 letters Dear Mom, Where are you? My life has been nothing but complete and total bullshit without you. I'm guessing my letters are beginning to sound like a broken record, huh? I can't help it that Harriet does everything she can to ruin my life. I'm 17, and she won't even let me go on any dates with my boyfriend or let me spend the night at my friend's house. She always has to give me a hard time. I'm a senior in high school, and I'm going to be attending college in August. So she better give me freedom...fast! Of all the parents in the world that needed a daughter, why did you give me to... HER? Well, I better go before she gets home. Bye Mom. I love you, Shana Juliet Carson Another letter to Mom. My real mom. Yes, it sounds stupid, but it's true. Although she claims to be, I know Harriet isn't my real mom. She hates me. Not "despises" or "dislikes". HATES. Harsh, isn't it? Well, that's Harriet for you. Sure, go ahead and say there's a whole bunch of people in the world whose lives are way worse than mine. I highly doubt that. So I have a house, and a lot of food and water. Still, that doesn't feel like home to me. I have two step-brothers and one step-sister (we are all seniors at Willow Acres High), a pretty cool dad (he's a composer), and some friendly neighbors. Yet, it's still not home. My life would be perfect if it weren't for one thing: my wicked step-mother, Harriet. I look over my letter again, checking for any spelling or grammar mistakes. All of my letters have to be perfect for some reason. "No mistakes this time," I tell myself as I slide the letter down into an envelope. After writing the sending and receiving addresses on the front of the envelope, I hide it in a very special place: between my first and second of many notebooks containing drawings of and poems about my real mother. "I'll be sure to stop by the post office after school," I say before turning off my lamp and heading to bed. I decide to check the time just for the hell of it. 11:11 P.M. I lie down, close my eyes, and make a wish. "I wish my mom would write back. Or call. Just something to let me know she cares."
Wow, it sounds like a really sad story. I like it, you've really got me into this "Letter Story". lol, Your gonna write more... right? ;DDDD
Ahaha, I know how you feel. I've been writing a book. And I now have like.. 40 pages, and my friend Sammy keeps asking me if I've done anything new to it. xD I've been so busy, xD
Hey peoples! I finished Chapter 2 today in English 1 Honors. Tada! Chapter 2 school 8:05 A.M. First Period - English IV Well, it turns out our teacher, Mrs. Sharp, went into labor around 2:30 this morning. And that means another substitute and another free day. "And can you believe it?" Melody pretty much screamed. "Trevor thought Twilight totally rocked!" "Try saying that five times fast," Blaire laughed. I only heard bits and pieces during the rest of the conversation. I decided to try and let my creativity flow into some kind of drawing or poem. But it's kind of difficult to do that with someone blocking your light. "What do you want, Andy?" "Can't a guy see what his sister's writing?" "Let me think...no." I try to hide my papers, but my step-brother is too quick. Andy snatches my poems and skims through them before facing me again with a not-so-happy expression. "What the hell do you have against Mom?" he snarls so only I can hear him. "You know, she's the one that gave you life. And what about food, shelter, clothes -" "Okay, first of all, she gave life to you, Noah, and Katie. I was adopted. Second, she yells at me every single day, sometimes for no reason at all. You get off scotch-free." "Shana, you know that's not true. Just once, can you please stop complaining?" "I'll stop complaining when you stop acting like Harriet." I say nothing else as Andy walks away, furious. He knows better than to get on my bad side. Oh well, sucks for him. ♥ ♥ ♥ 11:28 A.M. Lunch "I swear, why do we have to eat leftovers?" Katie whines once again. "I mean, we're seniors! For God's sakes, can't we have food that the underclassmen haven't touched with their grubby, little hands?!" "Katie, be thankful that we still have food," I told her. "Remember sophomore year when everything was used in the daily food fights? They had to cancel lunch for two weeks!" "And I was the only one well-prepared!" Lucille gloated, pointing to her baby penguin lunchbox while the rest of us groaned. Ignoring us, she looked around the crowded cafeteria, then continued. "Hey Shay, have you seen Noah lately?" "Last time I saw him was homeroom. He and -" Just then, a pair of warm, muscular hands cover my eyes. My boyfriend loves playing Guess Who. "Lemme guess: is it Eli?" "Wow," Eli states, "you're really good at this game." He uncovers me eyes, sits down beside me, and takes my hands in his. Elijah Romeo Fields, otherwise known as Eli, is the first boyfriend I ever had. I know pretty much know EVERYTHING about him: he secretly listens to Colbie Caillat and The Jonas Brothers, he steals tutti-fruitti baby food from his aunt's house all the time, his favorite color is a tie between red and grey, he's had a B average since 8th grade, and he sings in the shower (well, tries to). "So, how's your day been so far?" he asks me, his emerald green eyes gazing into my baby blues. "Pretty good, except for first," I answer back. "Andy was acting like a 5-year-old just because my poems 'offended' him." "Well, what were they about?" "My step-mom. Again." "You know that if you ever have trouble in your house again, you can come live with me, right?" "Eli, I'm serious." "So am I, Shana. My parents say you're the best thing that's ever happened to me, and I couldn't agree more!" "You really mean it?" "Of course." Eli pulls me into his lap and holds me close. He then whispers in my ear, "I love you so much, Juliet." "I love you too, Romeo," I whisper back. "PDA, PDA!" Lucille squeals. "Noah, stop!" We look over and see Lucille sitting on Noah, being tickled to death. "Noah, please stop before you lead to something else," Katie complains. "Shana and I already found the condoms!" "What condoms?" Noah asks. "Those aren't mine, they're Andy's!" "Oh please, Noah. Don't be such a liar!" "Katie, I'm still a virgin. Unlike some people..." Noah turns to Blaire. "How many times have you and Andy had sex, Blaire?" "Um, well..." Blaire begins before changing the subject. "Speaking of Andy, there he is. Gotta go!" She tries to get up and leave, but Melody and Eli are too strong. "Come on, B," I beg before giving her my puppy-dog pout. No one can resist my puppy-dog pout. "Okay, okay!" She takes a deep breathe before telling us what happened. "We've done it four times. Once without protection." "And when did this happen?" Katie wondered. "You know the night your family went bowling for your dad's birthday, and Andy was 'sick'?" "Yeah." "That night." All too soon, the bell rings for 5th period. As everyone else heads towards the doors, Eli holds me back and hands me a note. "Try to write me back during break, okay?" he asks, hugging me. "I'll try," I answer. He kisses my forehead, then goes out the opposite door to Chemistry II. So, what do ya think?
OMG, it's so cute! I love this story! Kinda sad, kinda interesting! Their middle names are Romeo and Juliet?! That's cute!
Thanks! My friends were confused when they read about their middle names. Then they were all, "OMG are they gonna die? Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet died in the play!"
