Rin really didn't find handshakes needed and more so awkward than anything else. But she was thaught to be polite whenever possible so she shook his hand, though she ended the handshake as quickly as possible. "I am an elemental magic type by the way. I can control earth. I do hope that this is to your liking."

ooc - if you read what I had here earlier just ignore it.

 

Leo made a strange face at his partner then smiled."It is,and thats really cool!"He liked the idea of getting to use an element.He almost wished he was a scythe."You ready for the exam?"

"Well hello to you to."He said in a sarcastic voice."I'm Greg.Nice to meet you!"He smiled.

 

Rin nodded. "Yes. I have done much studying and asked some of the Masters around Magic Academy. Typically the Rites Exam involve fighting, so as long as you are a good fighter we should do just fine. Also, I do hope you know how to use a scythe, because that is what weapon I summon." If she could she would of cringed at saying the weapon she summoned. It was just too painly ironic.

 

OOC: Sorry for not posting sooner.

BIC: Zero was sitting cross legged in the snow. His hands were shoved into his pockets as his head hung down limply. He had fallen asleep when he finally got there. Zero had been feeling sleepy the entire time they were heading to the meeting point and fell asleep the moment they got there.

 

Zero opened his eyes slowly and looked up at Aiden. "Huh? Was I sleeping?" he stared at him lifelessly. "Sorry, I guess." Zero stood up in a sluggish manner. "I suppose you are my partner," Zero said rubbing his eyes in an attempt to rub away his tiredness.

 

Roxy had looked over to the pair of Reapers just in time to see Ivan throw a snowball at Edge. For a moment everything flashed white and a little boy was where Ivan was instead. She could hear the child's laughter in her head. She turned away and sighed. It must of been the snow, it always did this to her.

She then looked around and noticed that most everyone was with their partners now. An almost cyinical grin appeared on her face; course, the one time she's smiling with people around it's cyinical. Her index finger and thumb pinched her zipper, pulling it down in one swift move. The jacket blew about her in the wind before slidding off of her arms when she moved them in a way for it to do so. It landed softly on the snow. Then suddenly a white light appeared before her. That light then formed into a sword which fell into the ground, which it stuck out of before her. "I think we should get on with the exam before any of us die of frostbite."

Kira had raised both arms in front of her, summoning a light and sending it before Roxy. That was the weapon. She then walked a little ways behind Roxy, out of the way. "For the Rites Exam today you will be fighting Master Roxy and Reaper Ivan and Scythe Edge," Kira recites. "Since there are twelve of you here today you will slipt up into two groups. One will be versus me and Roxy and the other will face Ivan and Edge. This means there will be three Reapers and their partner Scythes in each group."

"Group one, against Roxy and me, are the following: Zero and Aiden, Rin and Leo, Tesori and Stanley. Please move to the right of the area. Group two, against Ivan and Edge are the following: Ash and Kegan, Rhea and Ruth, Ren and Greg. Please move the left side of the area. Once everyone is where they are supposed to be and the teams are ready to fight we shall begin."

Rin looked towards the two Masters as they spoke, thankful that she was already on the right side of the field so she didn't need to move anymore. She raised both arms in front of her as Kira had done, though the light in front of her being a dull grey color instead. "Please be ready to fight." She said to Leo as the light formed into a scythe before him.

 

Both Rhea and Ruth walked towards the side they were supposed to be on, Rhea looking towards the ones she and the other Reapers and Scythes had to fight. So we're fighting two guys. She eyed the two men quietly before averting her gaze towards Roxy and her partner. I just wonder how these people fight. Sighing lowly, she turned towards Ruth who looked rather calm. "Ready?"

Ruth slowly raised her hands, causing a dim light to appear and soon after, thin black sword appeared in front of Rhea. "Just because we're fighting two men doesn't mean they'll go lightly on us or anyone else for that matter," she calmly said, turning her attention towards her partner. "So don't think that."

Rhea shrugged her shoulders, picking up the weapon Ruth summoned. "I wasn't planning to," she muttered, only to hear Ruth mutter something barely audible. The young girl looked towards the Scythe, narrowing her eyes as she tried thinking of a strategy. We don't even know how these two fight. So we'll just have to improvise for the time being.

 

Stanley approached Tesori. "Hey there,guess we're working together" he said bluntly, not showing any signs of joy about his partnership.

 

"Easy said that done." He looked at the scythe."Cool." He walked slowly to the right.I guess here where i find out if I'm any good.At least I have Rin.Yeah,Rin will Help me.

OCC:I'll wait til Greg's partner to post before i have him do anything.

 

OOC: Sorry for the delay.

Kegan smiled as she saw her new partner, her eyes were drawn to his white hair which intrigued her but she liked it, certainly contrasted with her jet black hair. "I'm Kegan, nice to meet you" She couldn't figure out his expression or what he was thinking and he seemed shy but the just made him more mysterious and interesting to her. She grinned as she heard the task, "Sounds like fun. You ready? Let's ace this exam."

 

Zero clasped his hands together and slowly pulled them away from each other as a glowing light shined from his hands. "Testing is going underway, we'll have to skip the formalities for now." The light faded away and revealed the giant Zweihander that he was able to summon. He quickly grabbed it and offered it to Aiden. "If we're to be partners, you need to be able to use this weapon." The point of the blade was digging into the snow beneath them.

 

"I'm Ren" he said ignoring the sarcasim in his voice. "Now that the formalities are done I probadly should tell you that my elemental power in water". When he heard what they would have to be doing for the Rite Exam,he got excited. "So we have to beat you in order to pass then, you ready for this partner"? He asked Greg


OCC: Would'vs posted sooner but had to wait for the computer to become avalible.

 

Ash sighed softly when she spoke about it being fun. He glaned up at Ivan and Edge, seeing as how agressive Ivan seemed and dutiful Edge was, he didn't figure it would be fun. "Logic says fun is not a probability. On the matter of 'acing' I'd say a good stratagy would be enough. I don't think they're going to go easy on us just because we're new." Ash held out his hands and a redish light engulfed an area in front of him before it faded away and he held out a slick katana to Kegan, "I hope you know how to fight with this. It's all I've got." He didn't sound impressed by his own actions or at all interested in Kegan's thoughts. His own thoughts had fallen into how best to get their exam over with. He pushed his white hair out of his eyes and though barely noticably, cracked his knuckles. Long day....

 

OOC: Waiting for Andrew to post...
IC: "We've got to move over to the right and prepare for our battle. Hope you're ready" was all Stanley said as he walked over and joined the group at the right.

BIC: Tesori nodded at Stanley's comment. He started to follow him to the right. He didn't like Stanley's tone though, just moments ago. To try a cheer up his new partner, he asked, "I'm Tesori. What is your name?" to try and make conversation. As he waited for a reply, he observed his could-be future opponents. "They seem to be very talented already, even without practicing," he muttered under his breath as they made it to the group on the right.

 

"My name,is Stanley. Best be remembering it" he said emotionlessly.

 

Roxy's dark blue eyes looked over the Reapers she was to fight. The kind Leo, the tempered Aiden, and and the aggressive Stanley. Personalities always reflected in battle. So she knew them well enough to know what they'd probably do, even with these new weapons. But the Scythes... She looked over to their parents. She knew near nothing about them and what they could do exactly. She didn't even know their magic type - she could of learned it, but decided not for a more fair fight. The whole time as they got ready she was thinking about how this was going to be fun.

Now that everyone was ready - or ready enough - she pulled the sword out of the ground and pointed it towards the group that was to fight her. "Come at me with all you've got, no holding back or you may just die!" Not like she'd kill them, but a little lie to make them fight with all they got could of been in order. Unless they really, really wanted to get back at her for all of those late night training and studying she had forced upon them. "Let's begin, you have the first move."


"Then let us take it." She nodded towards Leo, hoping he'd move into an attack when she was finished, and then turned all of her focus on their target. That dull grey light appeared around her hands once more and she raised them out in front of her. While Master Scythes didn't need to put effort into this simple spell, it took a lot of focus for her.The ground began to raise, spikes shooting out of it in a path towards Roxy. When it got to her, however, she simply jumped out of the way with grace. But maybe one of the others would attack her now she was slightly in midair.


ooc - remember, this isn't their first time fighting but it is their first time fighting with their partner. So they can't be perfectly in snych. I am already imagining a big mess up... But they could win still.
