Kingdom Hearts II Quick question....

hey guys, hows it goin? i have a question about the boss Xigbar in KH2.

how do you defeat him?? like whats a good method?

This one was really hard to me. Be sure to have every aerial combination boost you possibly can, because you don't get a lot of opportunities to attack him. Other than that, what level are you on? That may have something to do with it. Use the Warp Snipe reaction command as much as possible, because those giant bullets do major damage.

When he gets to the point to where he goes berserk and you can't attack him, DON'T JUMP! He'll get you caught up in his attacks and you'll most likely die. When he ends the berserk stage with constant bullets that hone in on you, just run around in a circle on the little square. That way they'll just be following you, and not hitting you.

I defeated him this way and it was sooo easy.

 

It would help if you have all drive forms at level seven. Guard everytime you can when he is shooting at you (Will this work with his desparation attack?). You can use Knocksmash to take of at least two hundred of his health. If you have Final form (I usually get it in this battle) you can use that and depending on your level you can take off a lot of his helath.

im on begginer mode so i know it shouldnt be too hard...but for some reason it is lol

 

I never found him thathard but I did have trouble with him- don't worry about it. If you get Final form and level it up to level 7 then glide around alot and use reflegra alot when he shoots.

After that Roxas and Sora fight scene, go and perform Drvie a lot of times in battles and you'll randomly obtain Final Form. After that, it's one of the Drive Form options in the menu.

 

Also, just to add, only defeating nobodies lvls up Final Form

 

You don't need Final Form or Glide, Xigbar was the most easiest Organization XIII boss I had ever faced. I have played only on Proud mode (because I don't have KHII:FM+ or a Japanese PS2) and no other modes.

Yeah, and I've never used Reflect in boss battles.

The quickest way to level up Final Form is to clear a portion of Yensid's Tower, then go to one of the Save Points and get back to the Gummi Ship while stil in the Drive Form. Once you go back to the world, you'll have a full Drive Gauge and repeat the process. You can check your progress somewhere in the menu which shows up when you press START.

I think this one might be solved. but I'll say good luck, and remember to heal right away when he alters the data so that you're in that small square of the battle area, becuase thats the deadliest part of the battle. Other than that, keep your head up high and good luck!
