    I've had the thing for 2 months and this is the first time I've been told I have a new item. XD

    "New Reward Item available"
    Then it proceeds to scroll off the screen as other messages pop up.

    That's weird. Never heard of "reward items" before.

    Do you have PS Home installed? Maybe it's an in-game/app reward.
