Qui parle français ici?/Who speaks French here?

So, here's the thing. I'm translating a novel from English to French. Well, a novel translated from Japanese to English. The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya.

I'm not even done with chapter 1, but I want to see how my grammar is.

Edit: I know a bit of french, but judging from this translation, you know more then I do....XD;

Edit: Weird, are these stories what the actual anime is based off of? I didn't even know they existed, I also guessed it was based on some quirky little manga.

EDIT: Mon francais n'est pas parfait. I mean I have a hundred. I don't even have a 99. Je suis le plus intelligent que ma classe.

Je jamais pense tu parle le langue de francais, Je sais tu parle japonais, mais francais est une grande surprise.

 

Only for words, idioms and some irregular verbs.

Also, yes. The anime IS based on these novels. You won't see this novel in the anime for awhile.

Well, might as well not spoil myself. The second season's rolling around soon so, I'll just sit back and get fat playing vg till then.

 

"de." I knew it wasn't like the "in my class" in English, but I guess I got it wrong.

No, I use a dictionary, like the other few model students.

EDIT: Can I just spoil on one thing? It's in white font, so you just have to double click it.

In episode 1, Haruhi asks Kyon if they've met before. Well, y'know how she did the prank with the symbols in Jr. High? Time travel. Kyon helps her with it. Chronologically, Kyon and Haruhi HAVE met. Kyon tells the younger Haruhi that his name is "John Smith," which he claims is his trump card, should things go bad.

 

I know some french, but i could never translate that.

 

I have to admit, being the best in my class isn't such an impossible feat.

Here are some of the most frequent questions in my class:

-What's "I?"
-What's "the?"
-What's "a?"

It gets to the point that I pity them. Seriously. It's sad.

C'est vrai pour moi aussi. Mais, j'ai pris 2 ans de classes.

 

I'll admit I'm not the greatest writer in french but I noticed some serious conjugation problems. There's sometimes some syntax problems too but in overall it's a really good effort. I'm not going to promise a correction for this seeing as I have a load on my plate already, but maybe sometime later when I'm stuck on the computer I could help you out with (as much) thorough corrections as possible. Neat exercise too.
