The sky is blue because light bounces off the dust particles in the atmosphere, giving it a bluish hue. It's basically scattered white light.

Water is the same reason. The water absorbs the red spectrum, giving it its bluish color.

Demyx's sitar is blue because his element is water. Just like Vexen's (the 'ol lovable geezer) shield is blue because of his ice element.

My text is blue because I'm the "Blue Blazer" of Ultima City.

Your text is blue because you're still a Demyx fangirl. And it's more of an aqua blue.

The shiny thing is blue because you're looking at it from a weird angle. Look directly into the light...

Your shirt's blue because you can't find anything else at the moment.

Your colored pencil is blue, because that's how you perceive it. To someone else it could be gray if they're colorblind.
