hey guys I have a question about installing windows vista home premium x32, if I were to install it would I loose everything I have on my desktop? Because if that's the case I have a 4gb usb pen that I can use to back up my files.

Yes, you will lose everything in the drive you are installing Windows.

Kk thanks kubo!^ ^ then I will back up the files I wish to keep before I update windows vista, and tbh I actually want to get rid of most of the files on my laptop so that it has more memory because rite now my memory is in the red so I'll be glad to get rid of all the crap I put on my laptop.:/

If your hard drive is almost full you probably won't be able to store all your files on just the 4GB USB drive, so I'd recommend just using another person's computer to store them temporarily.

Also, if you're upgrading from Windows XP, just check to make sure your computer can run Vista (and run it well).

I don't know about Vista, but when I installed 7, there was an option to just update and not fully replace. Perhaps Vista has something similar?

The option was only available to those upgrading from Vista/Windows 2000 to Windows 7. Not from XP. What's your current system anyways, lycan?
