Can you install programs on them?

I had this program that worked perfectly on my computer, but I had to uninstall it because it was taking up to much room. So I installed it on my external hardrive. But when I load it, it crashes. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Uninstall it from your external hard drive, move some files onto your external hard drive and then install it on your computer. :/

The program crashes because you're trying to run a program through a single USB cable or firewire.

Applications require access to your \system files, and these can only be accessed when the software can interact directly with the hardware (ex. directly on the motherboard).

This is the reason why you can't run a program off a CD, and always have to install some components of the CD physically onto your PC's hard drive.

ロクサス - That makes sense, but my friend was able to run his program from his external hardrive.
