To anyone who is interested on who's working on it.
It's actually pretty interesting from what I've seen so far. It's actually more of 17+ than a regular shoujo anime can be. So it's pretty mature despite the fact of how girly it is. (I mean, it's girly, but what the heck.)

    Plus, it's SHAFT-production.

    Really like this one surprisingly.
I didn't think I'd like another magical girl anime since Nanoha. But this is very good.
    Love the opening theme too.
Downloaded the full version too finally. :D

XP It is really awesdome, not something you would expect from a Magical Girl Anime.
Poor Mami-tan... I really liked her...

It's a shame that it has been cancelled :/
They say that they were under pressure to cancel it anyway and because of the Earthquake this was the opportunity to do so.
They still might bring it back, but at the moment it doesn't look so promising. :/
They are talking of making an all knew season too, but it would be a slice of life anime instead.
I want them to finish the original thing!

That was revealed the other month the plans for cancelling it.
When the Earthquake happened, that was the confirmation. That was nowhere near April the first right?

The anime. I haven't read the manga.
But yeah, what I said won't necessarily always be the case mind you.
They might choose to bring the first season back to finish it... it's just not looking like that will happen for now... or maybe for a long time, so they've put the anime under cancelled status (not even postponed, literally, under cancelled).
As I said, talk of the second season has been revealed to make it possibly be a slice of life anime. Which would still be interesting, but if anything I'd want them to keep it like the original.

Yeah me too, you kan't make a normal slice of life out of this... That would be the same as turning K-on into SF...
But I didn't know that, thanks for the update!

Really? Can you provide a source for where you heard that because I heard that episode 11 and 12 were just postponed due the earthquake and tsunami and that the episodes would probably be released sometime around April. At least that's what Wikipedia says.

I can't link to the site because it has a lot of other content that KHV would deem inappropriate for younger viewers.
I can however copy and paste what the page said:

What a legion of detractors could not accomplish, an earthquake and a flooded reactor have in a stroke – most upcoming broadcasts of Madoka have been cancelled.
No particular reason has been offered other than “self-restraint,” and it is not clear whether it will take the form of a simple postponement (this seems to be the prevailing notion) or the skipping of at least the 11th episode (one broadcaster apparently plans to do just this).
The manga and possibly the disc releases have also been subject to various postponements.
The decision to cancel the broadcasts has come in for more than a little criticism, particularly from fans who were counting on the series to lift their spirits after the incessant deluge of earthquake and reactor related news, and even more so from those in areas of the country completely unaffected by the quake or the power shortage.
The prevailing notion amongst publishers now appears to be that anything popular or fun must be cancelled, whether or not it has anything to do with the quake…

This is about the second season thing:
The director of Puella Magi Madoka Magica has spoken of his wish to make a second season of Madoka, as a “slice-of-life” anime.
Shaft producer and director Akiyuki Shinbo was recently interviewed about the future of Madoka:
These remarks rather add to the doubts as to whether any of the cast will even survive the events of the first season…

    ~

Anyway, that's the information from the site. As I said, I would post the link, but it would be against the rules of KHV if I did.

Ok I'm pretty sure I know which site you're talking about. Sankaku Complex, right? And the article doesn't say that the show has cancelled, just that the broadcasters had to cancel that week's broadcast due to the earthquake and tsunami. They'll either skip airing that week's episode or the show will be postponed until further notice. I don't really understand why the show would be cancelled. Were parents complaining about it or something? Here's a quote from the show's Wikipedia article.

The reason I express may be cancelled was because they said:
But yes, you got the site right, see why I can't exactly link to it now lol
either way, trust me when I say I hope it isn't cancelled and is just postponed but yeah :P
