I would like to go to public school. My friends are there, and I wouldn't have to pay rediculous amounts of money to go.

I've never gone to a private school because my family was way too poor to even consider such a thing. I'm sure at times they wished they could have afforded to do that but all in all I'm not against private or public schools. I think both have their ups and downs and the only thing I would refuse to ever do would be to go to a religious private school because I am not religious and wouldn't even want to fake I was. Nor would I want lessons curtailed to it.

Otherwise, I wouldn't mind either school. Private schools have uniforms more and I wouldn't care about that so much because then at least other kids wouldn't pick on some for not owning 100 dollar jeans or expensive sneakers etc that just to me are not as important as actually learning something. I do like to wear what I want but all in all, until I worked for my own clothes, school kids were kind of mean in that way.

I had some gang activity in school but I knew how to avoid most troubles and had fair weather friends who were affiliated with gangs that tended to fight with one another. I kind of made it a practice in public school to just be me and not worry about some stuff and if someone messed with me, I dealt with it. School, whether private or public, I probably wouldn't have really enjoyed that much. I actually like college much more as it is a better atmosphere all around and people who try to be still the 'popular' kids often are the ones who flunk out while others less noticeable make their mark because they know what is more important.

I agree except:some teachers do begin to be royal pains in the ass.

I don't have any friends going to private school xDD

But my friends are spoiled brats anyways.

My best friend Brianne wants to go to a Catholic High School.

I've been going to a public school for the last eight years, but I prefer private schools.
I feel that schools keep things in shape.

Neither. Reason is, you can get important life/practical lessons out of both and I think if you get a bit of both(which I am currently doing) is a privilege. So...they both are benefitial to people's learning.

I go to a public school. Went to a private for a couple of years, hated it. We have fights and drugs a bit here, not many gangs though. I still prefer it though. It was a catholic private school though so...

i not sure, i would say that Private Schools are better funded but you meet more diverse people in public schools because you have to be kind of rich to go to Private Schools.

Lol in the UK public schools are the ones you have to pay for ;D State schools being the "free" ones. Even though we have to pay a school fund >_>

Anyway, I got to a state school but it is a grammar school aka the higher level state school (a system they are trying to abolish even though they did that in England and it failed miserably, same with the 11+ but not Catrione Ruane is an airhead >: )

State schools are essential to ensure that everyone gets at least a basic level of education but I can imagine at a private school people may be more willing to learn as it is a privilege to be at the school (especially considering how much they cost @.@)

Went to a private highschool the whole time. I actually didn't mind it, which is why I stayed. I felt it was really sheltered though...

Public is the only kind I've attended, so I wouldn't know much of anything in regards to a private school.

I'd stay at a public school though. It's fun and there's no uniforms (since that's what comes to mind when I think of private school).

is that for college? because i don't think little kids would be more willing to learn if their parents were paying for it.

I don't get what you are trying to say; If it was college it wouldn't be for little kids anyway.
It would be for children at a high school level."/

You have a point, but the parents may be more interested in how their children get on if they are having to pay through the nose to have them at the school.

On the point of uniforms, in the UK most schools have uniforms. That is including state and public schools =/

    IT SUCKS D=

I've been in both a public and a private school before, and I say public is better.
The private school I go to keeps demanding money :/ For field trips we don't even have buses, we have the parents drive us.
I do like uniforms, though. So I don't have to keep on going out and buying stuff...
