Psychonauts: Sailors of the Psyche

So I recently got myself Psychonauts for the PC for 6 bucks at Big Lots! I was like, WTF is this doing here among all the crappy games that teach typing and math. So I got it. Then I checked the Gamestop website to see how much it would cost to buy it from them. It was 20. And for the Xbox, it was 15. (I don't own a Xbox, though). And they weren't even selling the PS2 version! However, I bought a game from Big Lots! before, and it blows ass. So, for those who've played this game, was it worth getting this game and were all the reviews right?

NEWS: I finally got the chance to play it and the voice isn't synched with the character models and the game lags. I may just sell this one and buy it for the PS2.... T_T

 

Psychonauts was awesome, IMO. Well, I've never heard of it with Sailors of the Psyche tagged onto the end, so it might be different. But yes, it is great, play it.

 

Psychonauts is a very good game. It was worth the money for it.

 

i payed i think 40-50 dollars for it

and I think it's the funniest game I ever played

so yeah for six bucks its a very good deal

 

Psychonausts is a grace to most platformers and a great game in general. One of the best games that came out of last gen and I hope to god their a sequel... But then again I also keep wanting a Goemon sequel >_>

 

Psychonauts was one of the most amazing games i've ever played. Maybe you got the wrong game, because i've never heard anyone else say this game is bad. Everyone i know who's played it absolutely loved it.

On a related note, has anyone heard of Brutal Legend? It's the game Double Fine is working on now, and it looks just as good as Psychonauts, possibly better.

You Shisno! You made me think there was a sequel! Also you dare say Psychonauts blows;it's one of the greatest underrated games of all time.

 

I never said it blows. I said that my computer is screwing the game up. The voices aren't synched up with the character models at all and the gameplay is slow. It's just lag. So I may sell it and buy it for the PS2 (because I don't own an Xbox).

 

Man I really need to buy Psychonauts. I've been making a point to buy it for like 2 years now.

I've heard alot of good things about this game but never actually picked it up myself. But this is the reason why I only buy games from Best Buy or Gamestop, granted it's a little more but there is the 7 day return thing.

I don't doubt that there is lag, it could possibly just be the computer runs a little slower than what the game requirements call for, but you did buy it from Big Lots...

 

My computer is not designed for running games. It was cheap, I needed it for school, and it is a fantastic computer. It's just not for games... Myst V works perfectly for some reason, but I uninstalled it so I can install Psychonauts. Not like I progressed far or anything. I don't know what to do now....
