PSP problem

    ummm... yeah... for some odd reason... my PSP won't play UMDs. every time i put one in it makes a weird grinding sound.
    help?

    you are probably putting the disk in backwards make sure the logo side is looking up at the hinge door on your psp but it also may just be loading keep that in mind hope this helps

    That happen to mine once until i found out i had a piece of paper jamming the UMD Reader

    Umm also, how many UMDs have you tried? If it's just one, make sure it looks clean and that the casing is intact... If the casing is damaged I believe you can buy replacements.

    Oh. Well then. xD;

    If nothing is jamming the drive/if you've been putting them in right and it's still not working, you might have to contact Sony. Is the UMD door hard to close at all?

    not really. it closes normally... at least i think it's normal.

    I think you need to choose an option to play the UMD disc.

    i was gunna say that.
    if it appears under games or video, then it just doese that as it's loading and finding the place in the disk.

    the psp might have gotten water in it or acid spill in the mother board been there

    And, have you tried to bring it in to Sony yet?

    Maybe they would have repaired it, if it was under warranty.
