If you haven't set up a connection, make sure to do so.
Make sure your wireless switch is on and that the router you are trying to connect to is not password protected. If it is, you need to input the password, which I believe you can do in settings (in the same place you'd set up your connection).

    Heres some complete instructions:
    1. Make sure your internet connection is High Speed and features wireless.
if not Check your local Wal-Mart or Staples for a wireless router. They average around 50.00 if you get a link-sys brand one.
    2. Turn on your PSP's WLAN Switch If you have the fat PSP (first ones released 1000 brand) It will be on the side:

If you have a slim PSP 2000 and 3000 the switch will be on top. The switch says in Bold letters "WLAN"
    3. Go to your internet browser on your PSP and try to go to a webpage. The browser will ask for a connection. Select "[New Connection]".
    4. There you will see a few options, Select Scan. Make sure your wireless router is on.
    5. If all goes well you will see a connection Select the one with the best Signal Strength. Thats the number on the left of the screen.
    6. Once your connected, ENJOY
