I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this or not...

But anyway, I want to know how to connect the PSP to the internet. Can somebody tell me how this is done? I need to know how this is done so I can download things like savefiles from the internet to it and all that. I tried connecting it to the computer with my charger but that didn't work...

    So how is this done?

First off, you need to make sure the WLAN switch on the top of the PSP is turned on. Unless it's on, you won't be able to connect.
From there, go to the Internet Browser option on the menu (under Network), and select it. Once you try connecting to the internet, a Network Connection screen should come up and from there you can set up a wireless connection. You can do this either manually (Manual Input) or automatically (Scan). When you see your wireless signal, go to that and do whatever setup/config you need to, and if it connects you should be good to go.

Though...I don't think you need to actually be on the PSP's internet to download savefiles. When you connect your PSP via USB cable you should be able to get to all your files anyway.

well , you don't connect the psp to the computer with the charger firstly you plug the usb cable you got with the psp into the computer and the smaller end into the top of the psp where the port should be (on my psp 3000 its at the top) then you can access your psp files from your computer , or you can put the sd card into the computer with a sd card and put items into it or if you really want to connect to the internet from the psp you WLAN switch should be on (switch located at top of psp left of the usb port ) and then try connect using internet browser then put in internet details like SSID or security key
    hope i helped.

I've misplaced the USB Cord that came with my PSP. However I noticed the one from my PS3 was a perfect fit...Will it work?

As long as the USB fits into the PSP, I don't see any reason why it shouldn't work. Kind of like sharing a USB cord for a camera or something (sort of a bad example since these days they make sure to make them all different but you know), it may not belong to that particular device but if it fits there's nothing different about the cord itself.

In any case, though, if you want to connect to the internet you're going to need wireless internet in your home. If all else fails (i.e. if you try the browser and it doesn't automatically prompt you to set it up), you can go to the Settings menu, scroll down to network, select infrastructure mode, then new connection, and then have it scan for your network there.

Mini-USB is a standard plug. The one with your PS3 will work with your PSP.

The save file goes in ms0:/SAVEDATA/ or possibly ms0:/PSP/SAVEDATA/. The save file will be an entire folder with a strange name (mostly numbers). Don't rename it. Also, don't use save files from different region games. It won't work.

    Thanks, One more question:

Will PSP games from a different region still work on an English PSP or do I have to buy some special kind of device that will make them work on an English PSP?

PSPs are region free, although the save-data is not.

Also, PSP movies are not region free. All games are to my knowledge.

Don't ever buy PSP movies. It's a really bad choice, considering it can play films from the memory stick.

I'm gonna try getting Wi-Fi when I have the opportunity. I think I'm almost good to go.

I THINK this is the last question I have:

    How do I download savefiles? I'm sorry, I guess I probably should've mentioned that I am a huge noob to the PSP...^^"

Go to a site where they're located, such as Gamefaqs. Then download the save you want of the version you have. You then unzip the file, and place the folders with strange numbers (e.g. ULES014410000) in the SAVEDATA directory on the memory stick. It should be place in either ms0:/SAVEDATA/ or ms0:/PSP/SAVEDATA/ so you may have to try putting it in both.
