    Getting hacked sucks

I'm not ripping on them I'm just saying that this sucks hardbody because I haven't played my PS3 in so long. Its not reading any game, DVD's, or mixed media disks at all. So when I just wanna relax on HOME the Beta thing I can't. Man I also use the same adress for my 360 too damn this sucks. But its too bad that none of them have credit card info so then can go kick rocks for all I care. Damn hackers -.-

Well their reputation for the ps3 wasn't bad until they got the root key hacked and everything went downhill.
Their reputation for the psp is a completely different story.
If it isn't reading any disc that is not the hacker's fault.

Credit card most likely did get taken, but PS is just trying to cover that up. This is absolutely insane, and now I'm tempted to get an Xbox 360. Sony just got a bad name.

If they lied about it they would be in even deeper shit then they are now. No one is that stupid. And I am just saying offline the ps3 is still a kick ass game system unlike the xbox

I would know I have both.

Oh please. The xbox 360 isn't without it's problems with stolen personal details. Live has had it's share of problems in the past. Not to this scale, of course, but it has happened and more than once. There is always the risk of your details being stolen no matter where you have them. People are ignorant as to how easy it is to get someone's details, even if there is a decent level of security. It happens on a daily basis. This happened due to Sony's cockiness. What happened happened. And now they are fixing it. I see no reason to get so frustrated with it now - it won't help. I'll be happy as long as they fix their mistakes and do their best to ensure something like this never happens again.

Agreed on both points. Lying at this point won't change a thing, and the investigators would know if Sony are lying.

Despite all this I still love my ps3. My xbox is sitting there gathering dust.

Some services should be up this week along with some kiss and make up gifts.

Makes sense. Buy back the "loyal psn users."

What I want to know is, if this happens again like in a week or a month how will everyone react?
They hacker(s) have to have some trick up their sleeve.

    on a side note
    here for the xbox users:

I wouldn't say buying fans back since most loyal fans would stay with the ps3. It's more like a start of an apology.

I suppose that is a better way of putting it.
I just can't wait until this settles down.

I still feel like Anonymous had something to do with this. Then again it could be someone else using Anonymous as a scape goat. But that seems alittle far fetched

I doubt it. Could it be someone who has worked with anonymous before. Yes, but i do not think anonymous would pull something like this off because it seems to organized for them. Due to the fact that people can claim to be anonymous when they aren't. Like I said it could be someone from anonymous but I don't think they are going to bring up anonymous' name at any point. They aren't a group who is very loyal to each other. So bringing the rest of anonymous down with them won't be fly with them so to speak. It was a good thought but I highly doubt it.

I wouldn't be surprised if a few members of Anonymous were involved, but to me it looks like Anonymous, as a whole, were taken advantage of.

And apparently PSN is back up in Japan. Hopefully it'll be back up tomorrow else where.

I agree. They're just giving us compensation, and if it wasn't for the identity theft, they wouldn't have owed it to us. I hear that you can't use PSN+ features after the subscription is over, and "select" downloadable content just makes me believe it's going to be cheap things that aren't anything special. At least it's something though.

    Speaking of this

My friends and I were talking about the free download you'll get. Do you think it will be a spending limit of the download? As in a new map pack let's say its a $20 download but the highest price you can download is $15. Not saying its true but do you think that's what they may do?

Oh yea ♥♦♣♠Luxord♥♦♣♠ I know its not their fault that my disks aren't reading. I didn't mean for it to sound like that. But I wish I could be like Oerba Yun Fang and have my 360 collect dust and stay on my PS3. I hate this so much this bites hardbody.
